I feel very...well, sad verging on upset.
Someone sent me a trade yesterday for my galaxy pup whose name tells you that he is for auction. They offered a White dragon, and didn't say anything. I cancelled it and told them "how about you read his name. Genius!" Alright, not the nicest cancel, bit I get so many trades for him it's ridiculous.
The person then proceeded to send me this suggestion.

saying: Hey. The link to your auction didnt work, and the trade was for you to edit since I have over 1000 of your wishlist pets. You could have edited and sent the link to your auction, but with an attitude like this, I think Ill trade elsewhere,

So you just wanted to it rub in my face. Thanks. Really. You've just made my day so much better.

If anyone remembers this, could you tell me if my cancel was too harsh?

For starters, you sent a trade, not a suggestion. You also didn't tell me to edit, or that it was for the auction anyway. I am not a mind reader, how can I tell what you want?
Secondly, you already have the CE galaxy. I do understand that people with full collections like to start hoards, but you haven't finished your collection. Also, because you have some of the most wanted pets on chicken smoothie, surely you must understand that they go for more than a Malk Dragon.
And thirdly. You didn't need to send the trade. You didn't need to rub it in my face that you have three of my most wanted pets in all of CS; the pps dragon, the White dragon, and the bumblebee spider. While I am still interested in the Toxic dogs which are my favourites of the dog breeds, the coon dogs and the sorbets falling closely behind, I of course would like a full collection as much as the next cs user.
I just think that this trade was a harsh attack on myself, retaliating from what I thought was another newbie who was trying to get their mitts on my galaxy dog. It was rather cruel, and very unnecessary.

Wait, so was the one with the whole lot of pets sent as a trade, and not a suggestion? Or just the first one? Because I'm telling you right now, if I got that second one as a trade with that message, I would have accepted. xD My acceptance would have said this, "genius".
And no, I don't think you were too harsh, but I think that that's the reason why I just cancel either with no message, or politely. I usually only do no message if the trade has sat a while.

I don't think it was way uncalled for. Yeah, it was a bit mean but if they didn't put any message, how could they know that the person wasn't just trying to ninja trade them? I would have thought they were a ninja trader and ninja traders get on my nerves extremely easily, so I probably would have responded very similarly.

I do understand that, like I said above. I do receive several trades a day for him, plus a headache, lack of sleep and working all day isn't the best combination for a happy attitude when someone doesn't say anything in a trade like that.

lol, with that attitude, I don't think I would have felt too guilty.
They way I look at it, is if someone is a bit snippy, they could be a jerk, yeah. But they could also just be having a bad day or something. =/ No reason to tear into them.

I understand that it's irritating. It's still not the mature way to handle the situation.

You can't just assume everyone is a ninja out to get you. Maybe they didn't see the name, and misjudged the value of their dragon. That wasn't the case here, but that's not my point. Snapping at every dumb trade you get isn't a great thing to do.

If you want the truth, i think it was a bit mean. But there reaction was no better.
Also, who cares if they already had it? Really? I havnt finished my collection and i hoard UR cats... Its what i do. Not because im bored with a completed collection, but because i adore UR kitties ^^

That's why people need to send a message when sending a trade. Without a message, motives can become very unclear. If you're going to go around and send trades without a message, you need to be expecting some replies that won't be considered kind and you also need to not reply back rudely. All I am saying is that the only thing sending a trade without a message will do, is get mostly cancels and probably rude and/or mean cancels back, even if Ninja trading wasn't the intention. Ninja traders are way too common for people to go around doing that and expect people to cancel with nice messages.
