OMG! And those newbies they rip off probably won't ever see it.. By the time they realize it was unfair that user has probably auctioned it or something..

I am so mad at most of the site now. As far as I am concerned "ninja trading" is just as horrible as scamming. When I was new, people ripped me off at every turn, some even told me the trade was fair. I just don't think it is okay to collect the December 18th pets by getting them from newbies who are new and would have had a nice pet or two to start off with until it was tricked away from them! I am just so angry right now, and it didn't even happen to me. Three months from now, if the poor people don't leave before then, they'll be kicking themselves over and over for trading with some one who lied through their teeth and offered an unfair trade to a newer user in hopes that they could get a better deal than by doing it in a fair way. I understand that scamming is a banning charge, while this is not, and there is no way to catch all of the people who do it, but I still don't think it is fair!

Truthful rant. My sister's a newbie and she knows how much her pets are worth already, and then there's other users who are older and still don't know true, fair trades.

This. This so much. I was horribly scammed when I was a new player - lost both my Sunback, Moonswirl, Green Sorbet....All because I had no idea they were worth anything, and the older players told me it was fair.

Now, I go out of my way to avoid ripping people off. If someone sends me a trade I know is unfair to them, I will tell them so; and either cancel because I don't have anything that's actual worth the value of the pet, or edit until it's fair. If I ask on the 'Is This A Fair Trade Thread?', and am told the trade is unfair to the other person, I will edit to make it fair!

Like in my above trade - someone offered me a Very Rare '09 Easter Hunt Bunny for a re-release Common Malk Owl. I canceled, because I couldn't, in good conscious, accept it.

I have since sent them a trade offering the owl for free - they haven't accepted it

When I joined back in September, I saw so many posts about how people regretted so many trades from when they were new I immediately learned my rarities and constantly checked out the "Is this a fair trade?" thread.

Good thing I did. I don't know how many awful trades I've gotten. >.< I even said in my trade rules that I know my rarities and check that thread when it comes to trading Uncommon+ pets, but they obviously just don't listen.

I fell so bad for the newbies that were ripped off like that. :c It's an awful thing to do. Greedy people, taking advantage of new members...

Even worse that they got it unfairly. Chances are they have way more pets than the poor newbie who they ripped off.
And once it is gone you can't do a thing about it, there isn't a chance of getting it back. I looked at a few of my first trades and just stopped, I don't even want to look at them, for all of the things I have lost. I had been on here a little while before the re-release in '09, so I got lucky and kept my heart PPS.

I don't want now to make a huge ass post with quoting you guys, but I agree fully to Satamoru, Santa-Wolf and muggafinn. I would feel terrible if someone sends me a unfair trade to themselves and I would accept it. It's just pixels yes, and it's a game, but scamming someone else out of their pets and this whole ninja trading makes me sad and angry. I could personally not sleep at night if I knew that I was unfair to a person that just knew it not better, because it's a game and it's personally not fun for me to take something from someone when I clearly see it's unfair to them. What makes me just sad are those people that show off their clearly ninja trades in the good trade thread. Yeah the trade was good for you, but you ripped clearly a other person off, and that makes you feel good? In a game that is supposed to be fun for everyone?

No thanks I like to have a good conscience before I fall asleep.
