They're overpaying, a 2009 rare is worth C$45, but a very rare is worth a bit more. You should add about C$5-10, give or take.

Those Goat Dogs have pretty good demand and can go for overpay, I don't know what that item is worth, but if the item has good demand I think you could say the trade is fair honestly, but that's my opinion.

so two recent store pets and a store item.

20 CD = recent store pet.
You offorded about 40,
so two recent store pets and a store item.

If you put it that way it's unfair to the dog, which was a store pet from five years ago. It's worth much more than two recent ones that are more common, that more people have. The smaller number of them bought makes the value of them increase a ton.
