If one of the blankets you adopt happens to be a sun litter blanket, then there's a chance for it to become any of the possible outcomes, including a Sunback if that's what you're looking for. There's no guarantee it would turn into a Sunback if you got a sun litter blanket, but there's certainly a chance of course.

When they release it at midnight is at new Zealand time? And now I'm not really sure what time that would be in my time zone... and is there a chance that even 5 hours after it was released you could still get the box? Or is it like the pound where everybody still gets a pet but the better ones are when it just opens?

They'll be available at midnight GMT (GMT + 0:00). New Zealand time is currently 13 hours ahead of GMT (12 normally + 1 for daylight savings time), so they'll be released at 1 pm New Zealand time. They'll be available for 24 hours after release, just like any other day of the advent calendar for adoptions, and you don't have to get the earlier adoptions for better outcomes. Like any other situation with adoptable pets, there's a randomness factor as to what you will get.

Sorry to bother about it, but how about in Ontario time?

Ontario's in EST I believe, or UTC-05:00 to be more exact. Either way, when midnight hits and the boxes are released, for you it'll be 7 pm the night before (5 hours behind GMT). If anybody else is interested in exactly what hour it is for them, just search up your time zones or convert / calculate the time differential between your time zone and GMT. If your time zone is expressed in UTC +/- xx:xx, that should directly give you an easy way to see how many hours there are in difference.
