The way I see it, if y'all want a majority win so much prepare for like another 6 months of this drama because you will not get a majority win. Even if you make a new poll with only two options. One for keeping the list, one for abandoning it. There will not be a majority win either way, just because of how different people's opinions are on this matter. Looking at the general speed of this thread, there won't be any change with your thousand polls which is exactly what those who voted option 1 and 2 want. Way to twist it y'all

here's no explanation post that people can read to know what each option means so all you can do is go off exactly what is written.

That way users are 100% sure they are actually voting for what they want and so that they just don't just have to guess by what is written in the poll options.

Definitely. It’s unfair to have a vague poll option then say “oh, it actually means this” after people have already voted on it. It feels like these people are being cheated out of a vote if there’s no proper explanation.

As I’ve said before: option one is in favor of keeping the list, option three is in favor of discontinuing the list, and option 2 is the middle ground between these two. Option two would be a complete overhaul of the list, which would not be “keeping it”. It would be making an entirely new guide out of it.

That is not what it says. Option 1 says 'keep the list, and keep it exactly the same minus moving up and down pets'. Option two says 'keep the list, but vote on ways to majorly update, restructure or rebuild the Rares List.'

No where does it say that option 2 is a complete overhaul, a deletion of the list and a fresh start. It says restructure and rebuild, and during discussion on this thread that meant smaller tiers, smaller gaps ETC but not start all the way over. there's no explanation post that people can read to know what each option means so all you can do is go off exactly what is written.

I did not use the word deletion. None of these options are for deleting this thread. I used the word overhaul. Many of the option 2 voters have can in and expressed that BIG changes need to happen if their option won. So that’s why I use the term. There would be a lot of changes, if they get their wish. So, I don’t believe that the list would stay exactly the same besides a few tiers. That would just be maintain 2.0.

I honestly think there needs to be a repoll simply because it’s been made apparent that there has been some confusion with the “retire” option. There’s a couple different reasons why they voted for that route that has been voiced. Some people want it to be shut down for good. Some want THIS THREAD retired, restarted in a different thread and restructured. There needs to be some clarification, because if there is confusion with the retire option then we could be going against their actual desires.

There have been a few people posting here that have said/touted to vote for the “retire” option if one feels as if this thread is toxic and want it restarted elsewhere for new beginnings.

I honestly think we rushed and didn’t think this poll through clearly. There’s not even a post linked to it to provide information to the voters.

I don’t want to start an argument, but if you do rerun a poll with only two options, you will get a majority, you have to, unless there’s a 50/50 tie.

It's a difficult situation hm. I just want it to be fair to all sides, with informed voters so we can put this to rest once and for all.

Agreed. I think arguing for a new poll is unnecessary, no matter what wins many people WILL be unhappy, though that is how voting works. Not everyone will be happy in the end, and with whatever happens people will either leave or learn to enjoy and get used to the changes. Along with all this "the majority would be too small for it to be fair," That's just how it works. If there is even 10 votes off the majority wins. I don't understand why people are getting so upset and defensive over their own opinion. A big change will happen, no matter which option wins, and by the looks of it 2 and 3 are very close.

Edit: After reading some more posts it does seem that there is some confusion going on with what the options mean. I understand if a new poll is posted but I just think that a better explanation should be posted and leave the poll be. Just my opinion though.

It seems to me that all opinions in favor of retire are going to be shut down.

No matter what we say, a repoll is going to run because the frequents of this thread want it.

if a new poll is put up because of all the confusion that’s been going on, then I understand. People need explanations to understand everything so they can vote correctly.
I had a hard time understanding what the retire option meant.
I think there does need to be a thread or something to explain what each option means directly instead of letting people think it means something but then it turns out it has a completely different meaning.

I agree. If restructure wins and the list stats there should not be another poll, unless there is an exact tie with another option. But this should be the case with all options.

I agree on the fact that people's opinions are way too divided!

Also, if and if another poll is run will it really only have two options or will the "I just want to see the results" option be included. Then it's possible for neither of the two main options to get 50%.

I feel like everyone wants this to be put at rest once it for all, and running another poll is just going to make this time of decision way longer and tedious. People can change their vote at any time after all, so if they voted retire thinking it would be restructuce, by just glancing at the discussion I think they might change their vote. There's still time, and I really think no matter what option wins, even by 1 person, that a repoll should not be made.


Also, if a new poll is made I just don't know. An explanation post could be made and just put something in this thread's title of "Poll - Info on page (where the explaination is) instead of completely redoing it.
