I'm really confused as to why a repoll is even being discussed.

Just because the option you didn't want is in the lead, that is by no means a good reason. All that does is say that you're so up in your own ways that even that thought of another group's opinion winning is so bad that you want to try over again just so your opinion can get another chance to win.
The poll isn't even halfway over yet and you still are talking about a repoll? In what case of circumstances would that not look biased to one option, and how would that be fair for the users who have already taken the time to vote only to be told that if they want their opinion to matter they should vote again just because people are mad that the option they wanted didn't win.

That's exactly what's happening here. Everyone who already wants a repoll is just salty their opinion isn't in the lead.

I'm a bit surprised at the lash out about this, especially in the way some things get formulated. Try to at least mind your tone in responses because this type of behavior is exactly why people still describe this thread as toxic. It's not oke to directly blame someone for merely thinking out loud and making suggestions. Nothing is decided until the majority comes together. We agreed that the majority vote is what goes. I personally have no care for either options, it doesn't matter to me which side wins. I can see benefit in both sides, i can see downsides of both sides as well.

People wanted to be heard - the retire option was included, but there are 2 options voting for the poll to stay and only 1 for it to retire - Is that fair? no it isn't. either another option that is similar to retiring should be added or one of the stay options should be removed. Or at least a re- polling should happen when options are too close together that a majority can't be called. You can bet your bum if the vote was the other way around i'd be speaking up about unfairness of this poll as well. 2 options for and one against isn't a fair poll.

This wasn't discussed before hand but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be discussed now.

It isn't a win unless the majority votes for it. You can't say 'all voices need to be heard' but then disregard them when voting doesn't go your way lol, that argument def goes both ways. So in the end, when this poll ends and there isn't a clear majority then we will have no other choice but to look at all the outcomes again. That's just the way this thread works.

In my opinion, unless one of the options gets a majority, which is 50%, I think a repoll with the two highest options has to happen. The highest number of votes isn’t necessarily a majority.
My opinion would be the same whether retire or restructure was winning. I actually had this thought before the poll was up, but I didn’t want to mention it and derail the conversation for another two weeks. I should have said something and that’s my mistake, but if no one gets a majority I think a poll has to be rerun to get the actual majority for an option.

Exactly this. It is way too close currently to call it a majority. It isn't about "being salty" its about getting a MAJORITY. Because this is a community vote. It's been done before where there was a repoll. So why not now?

As I’ve said before: option one is in favor of keeping the list, option three is in favor of discontinuing the list, and option 2 is the middle ground between these two. Option two would be a complete overhaul of the list, which would not be “keeping it”. It would be making an entirely new guide out of it.

Exactly. People know what they’re voting for. And one and two are far more different than they are similar.

That is not what it says. Option 1 says 'keep the list, and keep it exactly the same minus moving up and down pets'. Option two says 'keep the list, but vote on ways to majorly update, restructure or rebuild the Rares List.'

No where does it say that option 2 is a complete overhaul, a deletion of the list and a fresh start. It says restructure and rebuild, and during discussion on this thread that meant smaller tiers, smaller gaps ETC but not start all the way over. there's no explanation post that people can read to know what each option means so all you can do is go off exactly what is written. People know what they are voting for? you believe that all the 800 people voting on this thread have kept up will all the thousands of posts discussing everything? I mean, i haven't even read all the posts because this thread moves 50 pages a night lol that's just unrealistic.

I thought about it.. there's no point running another poll and putting off the inevitable, the majority so far want the list to be retired. Then so be it, I can see where everyone is coming from here.. by putting up another poll with more lashing out and discussion, it just looks like we're being salty and wanting to pressure others to keep the list.
No re-poll, even if it is divided by one vote, we should not run another poll.

A 3% difference is too close to call it a majority. When polls have been extremely close in the past there has been a repoll or 2nd poll with less/different options. So why not do it now?

Why would you need a majority win? If one option wins with even 1 vote more than the other, it's still a win. It's that simple really.

I agree, but I also wish to ask what is not a difference too close? 5%? 10%? 50%? I feel like at most 1% is the difference to call the majority but if it's 5+ people more than the other then it basically is the majority.

Personally I feel like the community is too far divided for the 50% vote on any option, not to mention there are technically 4 options and I really think a repoll will skew results, but I see your point.
I would prefer if the majority total of votes was the option respected, regardless of what it is. If maintain has 200 votes, while restrustruce and retire have 160 each, I feel like mantain should be respected as the 'winner' of the poll; as any winning option should be.

Sorry but each option was supposed to be separated of each other, and it's better if none are clumped together.

Any of the winning options should be respected. If majority of voters want the list, let the list stay. But if they don't


It was hard enough to get one retire option even included, let alone a second one. It feels redudant and just useless. Each option is different, and none is too extreme. What other option could have been used for retire? Delete everything?


Also sorry but rebuild does sound like starting over with a complete overhaul.

I see downsides and upsides to all votes and whatever vote wins, well, it wins.

here's no explanation post that people can read to know what each option means so all you can do is go off exactly what is written.

This makes me think that maybe there should be an explanation post.
That way users are 100% sure they are actually voting for what they want and so that they just don't just have to guess by what is written in the poll options.
