I am FINE with a no change for CERTAIN pets. Discussion must be done concerning why we’re moving it and decided at that point

I agree to add it when moving the pickle, TWA, maybe someday the BA or BMD but I cannot support it while we’re moving the drastically underplaced OMGSR

It’s already been mentioned some pets might not stand a chance with their bad reps, it wouldn’t be accurate to leave them where they are

Like i said, the proposal was meant for after the OMGSRs we need to move ^^
I feel that just getting this decided rn would get it out of the way and we can refocus back on those pets uwu

I disagree, this is a relatively complex issue that I believe requires discussion in order to reach full comprehension on. We can still choose majority based on discussion. A poll on this wastes time.

Isnt rarity vs demand and an option to remain vs no option to remain two completely different topics though?
i mean to me it seems like one can exist without the other
there's going to be a focus on rarity and less on demand (from what i understand, this isnt removing demand entirely)
but there could still be an option not to move - and should that become the majority vote it would be ample substance to start a proper discussion as to why
i feel like you (general you) cant really mention "democracy" and "poll" while actively taking away people's options TO vote, in favor of only a couple which have been determined by you (collective) to be best for us (general)

personally i'd love to see demand stripped of things like the BA, Raven, Joker ex completely, and for them purely to have their rarity positioning as no matter where you place them, theyre going to be overinflated with demand anyway
however
those pets seem to be the exception, not the rule, and i feel its a touch unfair using purely those as examples, because they're complete outliers in a range of different ____ (i cant remember the word i want to use)

Now that I’ve read it I see absolutely no problem with a “no change” option. If anything consider it a test. Put it to a vote if you want. If the community is to have a say they should have a complete say. There is no point in withholding an option. If this option causes problems there can always be a redebate. There is no point in bringing in topics of elitism. Just give the people what they want and if it doesn’t work out reconsider and revise.

i agree,i don't see why we can't just put it as a option? obviously some of the community want it in the poll.
everyone's arguing for peanut shells.
if the majority want happens to vote no change in the poll; let it stay for awhile and then come back to it later.
by the sound of alot of people in the thread; it will not be picked so whats the problem? Just put it up to make everyone feel more in the community.


also a general question on the 09 cream bunny, i was wondering why this littermate isn't on the list?

i could of sworn I heard on a old thread they came out as the same rarity

I don’t see the problem. Move the OMGSRs to the top. Then add the option and begin applying it when deciding what URs are higher/lower/need to stay the same. I don’t believe anyone advocating for the no change option wants the OMGSRs and URs places below the gap or below Very Rares.

I still don’t agree with it, for any pet.

Also this thread got extremely hostile, to the point two people posted and said they are leaving and done with the aggressiveness that was thrown around. Just because people post here often doesn’t make their opinions not valid either. Please keep in mind how your words may come off to others.

The discussion is open to the public. The poll is open to the public. I really do not see what the problem is. Youre implying their votes dont matter because they dont have a say anyways - but they totally do. But if majority doesnt support it then it wont move onto the poll. Its democracy.

We've had this conversation - being public doesn't really matter when the thread isn't welcoming. What ZeyDaan said was entirely true - if people don't feel welcome, there's a good reason why. It's not an open thread. People have said that they don't feel welcome to discuss or give input on this thread because of the environment around it. One person swoops in with a polar view and the ten main contributors group up and denounce it. This is one of few times that there's been some sort of 'new-coming' to the discussion and now the response is, "well now YOU are the one being hostile" because there's finally been a large enough of a voice to adequately challenge the status quo. It's just a cop-out reaction to avoid responsibility and taking action for how this thread really makes people feel and the perception among the community.

If something isn't right about what they say, isn't it our job as "main contributors" to discuss why what they may have said may not be optimal?

Considering this thread is beyond heavy with opinion, people will always disagree with one another, guaranteed!But, that also means people will and do agree. I can't help my opinions match that of others, and if the people posting fail to persuade me, I will explain nice about why I don't agree. Whether or not people take me disagreeing as a personal attack is up to them!

But I do not agree with this. If they vote to keep the foal at it's placement, what have we been doing this whole time is to move up the pets that need to be moved due to their rarity. It goes against what the majority voted when we started this project for the OMGSR's.

To the argument of trusting the community:

Alright, if you feel we most do a poll like that and "trust the community" then sure. But what *IF* they vote the no change?? It completely goes back on everything we've worked for thus far, making all of our struggles and debates be for nothing.

Then, if the thread then so decides to move up the foal, then we are "ignoring the majority", even though the majority clearly voted to make the placements of the OMGSR's more fair to the pets. I don't understand this at all, because this is where I see us heading!
