this trade is actually unfair to you. most store pets (not including exclusive ones only available in a full set) are worth 4 rares of their same year. They can go for more, however, if they are wanted badly enough. you are definitely overpaying, but as long as you know and are ok with that, the trade is not
outrageously unfair.
(but you are still overpaying quite a bit)
