i think this is pluma's pup & is inspired by persephone, a greek goddess.

- leaves & sun - she is the goddess of harvest & vegetation

Alright so these are all the Greek/Norse Goddesses people have mentioned throughout the thread, that I could find, since Pluma said that we have at some point guessed the correct one.

-Demeter, & Daughter Persephone

Demeter Goddess of Harvest (leaves), Broken heart (hearts) when Persephone was trapped in the underworld, Apollo (the Sun) tells Demeter the truth, Zeus (lightning) Pesephone's father, So Demeter's consoert, makes a deal with Hades to get Persephone back. Previous Staff pet is named Ceres, who is the Roman counter part to Demeter.

-Athena

Daughter to Zeus (Lightning), /Half/ Brother is Apollo (sun), Sister is Artemis Goddess of the hunt, forests and hills (leaves).
The goddess of wisdom, courage, inspiration, civilization, law and justice, mathematics, strength, war strategy, the arts, crafts.
Athena never had a consort or lover and is thus known as "Virgin Athena" - Hephaestus tried to force her (Broken hearts?)
Offered the Athenians the first domesticated olive tree (Leaves?), Aided Heracles in capturing Cerberus (dog)
There is a famous lost gold and ivory statue of her (Golden retriever?)
Owls are her sacred bird

-Gaea/Gaia

is the personification of the Earth, the ancestral mother of all life. She is the immediate parent of Uranus (the sky). Gaia also bore the hills (mountains). Gaia produced the Erinyes, the Giants and the Meliae- ash-tree nymphs (leaves)
Gaia took Zeus (lighting) into her care after Rhea hid him from Cronus.

Siblings are Zeus (Lightning), Demeter (Harvest/leaves), Hera (Peacocks/Ceres), Poseidon (Storms), and Hades (Symbol Cerberus/Dog). Daughter to Rhea whose mother is Gaea/Gaia (Earth) Father is Uranus (Sky), Hestia is the daughter of Cronus who ruled in mythological Golden Age (Golden retriever?)
Hestia was one of the three Goddesses whose "hearts" (broken hearts) Aphrodite could not affect. Zeus assigns Hestia a duty to feed and maintain the fires (sun) of the Olympian hearth

-Hera

is the wife and one of three sisters of Zeus (lightning). The cow, lion and the peacock (Link to 2012 Ceres) were considered sacred to her. Hera's mother is Rhea and her father Cronus.
Other Siblings: Poseidon (Storms/lightning), Hades (Cerberus/Dog), Demeter (Harvest/Leaves), Hestia (Hearth (fire)/Sun)
Hera may bear a pomegranate in her hand (Leaves). Jealous and vengeful nature against Zeus' lovers and offspring (Broken hearts?). Hera detained Eileithyia to prevent Leto from going into labor with Artemis (Hunting Dogs) and Apollo (Sun)
Children: Ares (Symbol: Dog), Enyo, Hebe (Symbol: Ivy - Leaves?), Eileithyia, Hephaestus (God of fire - Sun), and Eris (Golden Apple - Golden retriever)

You're not wrong :] Pluma has also named that pet after Athena, however they've also named other staff pups after other Goddesses, But that pup is definitely one to be looking at.
