I think I know who the owl pup belongs to!!!
I knew that I recognized it when I looked at it, something about it was familiar. The coloring, the shading, something was reminding me of something else I'd seen, and recently too. This months pony!!
And the evidence doesn't stop there either!
Sakiyoko designed this months ponies, and they gave us two hints to their staff pup.
- My dog is orange : The owl is obviously quite orange.
- My dog may be a chicken, or perhaps that was another litter I made... : Some people probably wrote this off as a joke, but it's not a CHICKEN but another bird, an OWL!
That actually makes a lot of sense!
I knew there was something about it that reminded me of Saikiyo!
(Hold on, let me back up my facts I think I'm wrong)
Edit:Alright, I was right on the part I wanted to say. Saikiyo also made an owl cat litter, which could be what the 'or perhaps that was another litter I made' part could mean!

So a 50/50 chance at a bird dog?.... *flips a coin*
Ok its probably not a chicken. My coin flip says its just another litter I made....
But wings are hard to draw, I try to avoid them.

Do you think someone would use the same tactic Wes did during June salmon squad time? :3

I wanted to point out, though, that yes, I only said mine was strongly inspired by japanese folklore, which means the pup doesn't have to look exactly like any characters from it. I specially like to have my own creative take on mythological creatures, and this would be no exception. My dog also happens to look like one of my favorite animals, but you don't know that.
