The artist who designed the ponies this month
actually stated that they were, in fact, based
off Steven Universe! So far that I've seen the-
re's a Rose, Pearl and Garnet :D

So beautiful! I hope there are only 3 outcomes because that would mean I didn't miss one and I'm loving them so much ^u^ so with this one the water's a bit greener. I wonder if it will be even more green for the last/next one, or maybe really dark...

You know...
I don't even Actively watch SU (My Brother is the one into it, interestingly) and I'm kind of totally chill with these ponies.
How I didn't realize what they were when they started growing is Beyond me, but...
If Amethyst doesn't have a Rockin' long mane, I might be slightly disappointed.
And I wish we Had Peridot. Even from the few clips I've seen, I've taken a liking to her.

I have Rose, Garnet, and Amethyst; Missing Pearl and the Still growing Rose.

((Also, Admittedly, Garnet took me a minute to figure out, because I've only just recently seen Clips of when Ruby and Sapphire first Fused.))

The designs were inspired off the characters rather than the characters being recreated on the line art. We've had other fan based litters in the past including sonic the hedgehog and studio ghibli. The ponies are different enough from the originals having mostly a similar pallet and a few defining features to change the meaning of the designs. These ponies fall under fair use as parodies ^^
