The demand is definitely an overpay. I would personally accept and try to trade off other things for more staff pets.

200C$ is worth a Striped Sept, that's four mid advents. The cake dog is worth 6 mid advents so it's unfair to them by a red malk dragon or so

Second, I disagree as September Cake Dog is worth 240-250C$. I say it was fair since you added in the two early '09 rares. The Malk cat especially has good demand, so it probably could have sold for 50C$ on its own.
Third, and again, people don't usually like selling their higher list pets for C$ as there isn't much gain in it for them. So they'll view it as unfair regardless of what a guide says, and it's harder to trade that way.
