it seems a bit excessive for a 2014 pet for all those maybe cut it down to 3 or 4 pets

Yes - the ghost cat is a list pet. :) Please don't give advice if you aren't sure of the pet values - it can be really confusing for people who are trying to get help with their trades. :)
I'd say that's a great offer - it's worth about 3 mixed 09 rares so the 08 VR and a late 09 rare with pretty good demand is a very nice offer for the cat. The other pets aren't really necessary so I suppose it's fair to say that it's a bit of overpay - which isn't uncommon for someone trying to get on the list - but all in all it's a nice trade and I think if you like it you'd be pretty well off with either side. :)

I'd say it's probably a bit unfair to them considering they're offering a couple of older items for recent pets. Typically a non-store item is worth roughly a common pet from around the time of its release. :)

I think I answered this a page or two ago so I don't know if you're looking for more opinions but I personally think you could get more with the zebra - their side is worth slightly less than a non and I wouldn't really take less than a non for a zebra myself - though that decision is totally up to you. :)

I really don't think that BMDs usually go for more than that honestly - occasionally they go for a really high pet here and there but that's true of any pet with some demand. Considering the quantity they're offering and the fact that they're overpaying by 4 mid advents I'd say that's a pretty nice overpay - the only troublesome pet is the pink patchy september doesn't have the best demand for trade downs but honestly if you're looking to trade up the list it actually trades pretty well in combination with other list pets. :)
