I've never quite understood why rarity tags bother some hoarders, because you don't actually see them on a page of hoarded pets, you only see them if you click an individual pet. Can anybody explain? I find it very interesting and would love to hear! So...

I hoard entirely by looks/meanings and thus would never give up a hoard because the rarities don't match.

Oh wow, that's really interesting! I've never known you could see it like that, I've never seen my CS set up that way!
I can definitely see why it'd be a bit of an eyesore to some hoarders then, but I'd say my questions still stand if you have the option to remove them from beneath your pets.

Edit to add: Just found out where that setting is now, learn something new every day! I've been on CS since '09 and had never known! haha

CS is still full of surprises!
So, to summon it up: a messy hoard bugs me more than different rarities. I'd probably not put all pets in one group, but seperate them or sort them via ID swaps. :3
Definitely not giving them away at all, the rarity tags don't interest me at all when it comes to hoards.

I do have a few checkers with different rarities, it isn't so bad when it's all neatly sorted. ^_^

No I don't actually ^^. Rarity tags are random. So far only one of my hoards has bothered me (my Easter hoard) because of how unorganized it looks right now (I knew I should've done a checkered hoard). Since that's the case for that hoard, I'm splitting the outcomes into 4 separate hoards and making a "hoard series".

Would you give up an entire hoard simply because the rarities didn't match? Even if you completed it? If so, why? Do the pets really not matter if their rarity tags don't match their color schemes or don't match each other?
No. I hoard for design/sentiment. Plus it would be kind of pointless to try and match the rarity tags to the pet design; they're going to change at some point in time. The only time I actually see rarity tags bothering someone is if they're hoarding an entire litter in an unorganized way aka me.I don't usually hoard entire litters, so I'm not used to the disorganized look ^^".

I'm the same, no I wouldn't give up a hoard and having a mixed rarity hoard with very common and common doesn't bother me as they are both green in colour [ my st patty's pup hoard for example ] but the only hoard that bothered me with rarity tags were the porcelain dogs. I hoarded 100 of them with adults and PPS in one group, when the PPS turned rare and the adult turned common, because they weren't equal in numbers, say 50/50, the splattered rare tag kept bugging me. I've now split that hoard to 100 adults and then 20 of the PPS versions so I still have both outcomes, but it's easier on the eyes c:

Just curious...why do you hoard rats?

Personally, I hoard them because some of my best friends have been rats.
Same with chickens.

Why do you hoard those pets?
I guess my multi-tails would count? I hoard them because I love the multi-tailed lineart and they tend to have lovely designs, haven't seen one I don't like yet!

So, i'm freaking out a little, I only have one capped hoard left and it's almost finished..
3 pets and 10 items to go and then it's completed and I don't know what to do with myself x.x

Although I have been thinking about starting a hoard of PPS pups because they are usually
so gorgeous and the lineart is beautiful, I have three PPS lists already so a couple of the
harder ones are out of the way if I do decide to hoard. However, i'm stuck on being not
sure if i should just make it unlimited and end up with multiples of some of the PPS,
or just make it a hoard with having one of every PPS pup on CS.. Decisions x.x
