Once you know what you have to do, it's easy peasy. I checker all the time, so if you want I could explain and give examples of my various checkers. c:

these two pets, in one hoard
I know what I wanna call it too! "autumn breeze and pumpkin seeds" (please don't steal the name haha)
the cat is my favorite in the litter, as well as the dwarf ham which personally reminds me of pumpkins/pumpkin seeds
maybe I'll just start with combined 50 though ^-^'

I adore this idea! :D Good luck, it's going to look amazing!

well thank you for encouragement! hm, maybe I will try checkering
is it just a matter of getting one after another that was adopted at the right time to make the pattern? is it just kinda a shot in the dark while trading?

@usamagnol_
Neither - I'll send you a PM C:

Heh, so I finally want to talk about my newest hoards. =v= Didn't feel like it the last weeks... August was a very good month for new awesome hoards though.

The lovely Topiratti gave their one rat litter away and I snatched myself a checkered fire and storm hoard
(nope, not "ice". Not a GoT reference, but CLAMP. Because that one song is awesome.)
ImageImage

Then this PPS caught my eye.
Image
I liked more of that litter, but only in their puppy stage.

That whole litter was awesome, couldn't help myself.
ImageImageImage
And I was so, so "clever" *cough* with the group names. All are named 'Earth' and then a description of their colour - core, land and ocean. Didn't want to name the red one "lava", I liked "core" more. (rhyme intended)

Image
SO CUTE.
'nuff said.

Image
Amazing litter. I decided to only hoard this one though, since it is my favourite. c:

Image
Cute and cheeky both, with the leetle fangs.

Image
It has purple on it. And a chibi wing. *steals*

And theeen the lovely FlyingWithThePhoenix also gave up some old hoards.
ImageImage
I checkered these two outcomes, since they look fantastic together.
Image
Kept this as a single outcome hoard.
I do have a few extras of these BW and think I'll share the love and gift them away too. c:

Won't talk about all the September hoards yet since I only have one and that isn't in its own group yet. But I have a feeling that I might hoard a lot too.

You've been a hoarder I've looked up to for some time actually :) You have some really good, really valuable hoards (your lion tails for instance) and that's really awesome! Even more so considering we joined about the same time and I am no where near as good as you are
I agree, CS was a different place back then. But I think it's the users that have changed rather than the site. The original users got older or left, or both. While new users came in and they were different and hadn't had the same experience on CS others had. Not that it's a bad thing to have new people on the site, just saying that it does make a difference. In a lot of cases people don't care about being a community, just about getting the old and rare pets they weren't around for.
Which I can understand in a different way as well, because I only joined in 2012 and some pets were already pretty old and valuable. The newer you are, the more likely you are to just have the newest, least valuable pets to try to trade up for older ones. This way you have to pretty much rely on the generosity of the more experienced users. But as our older users are replaced by more of those coming in with the mentality of just taking, taking, taking, and trying to clamor their way to the older pets they don't have access to, our new users and other users are left with a smaller and smaller group of generous and kind users to help and have fun with.
Sometimes I see the arguments and bannings and rants going on and I wish people would realize again that this is just a game, and it's supposed to be fun..
But ah well. The best we can do is to be the kind of players we want to see: the ones that help newbies and are nice, generous, and active parts of the community :)

Anyways, just wanted to say that you're awesome and noticed. Hope you feel better soon, have a great one! ;)

I agree. Definitely been enjoying watching that lion tail hoard grow.
And I too continue to go back through my hoards and reminisce about happier days.
I'll look at the individual pets and revisit the trades and pms and auctions that brought them to me.
Makes me feel all warm and nostalgic. I have personally become quite jaded and burnt out on the whole CS experience lately.
The happiness and giving and warm fuzzy feelings are so hard to find lately.
IRL this time of year is harder to get through year by year. I've always looked to my hoards and the CS community as a safe haven. And a happy place.
I guess that's still there just more and more in my personal account and my pets and the past and less and less in the community as a whole and the future.

I know. So many times Ive contemplated quitting, but I wouldn't want to leave all of my pets on my account if I did, but I cant stand the idea of not going back and looking at them all. I keep trying to keep myself busy, but Cs gets boring when you dont talk to people anymore, but with the way list trading is now, I cant even achieve liontails. Been at 63 since January, ive only had 4 this year all roughly the same time. Ive started 3 other vr (non list) hoards to try and keep me busy but no one really seems to want to do fair trades anymore :
I'm glad its not just me that feels this way though, not the only old random loner stalking about Cs xD

Lornsome night,
babbits bawlin',
wind bitin' the bone.
Wind like this,
full of voices.
Ancestry howlin' at you;
Now, find you devil,
Old Georgie himself.
Now you hear up close
and I'll yarn you about
the first time we met
eye to eye.
'you bring the stories'.
All their voices
tied up into one.
One voice different,
one voice whispering
out there,
spying from the dark.
