Hoard Discussion Thread v.5

I started to create a hoard that was base on the color purple. Purple is the color for pancreatic cancer awareness and I would love to see this hoard grow in numbers. I scrambled around my groups and managed to get to 75. I hope to get more and to make this my largest hoard. If you would like more information as to why I started this hoard feel free to read my signature.

Update: We're past the 120 mark! Thank you to everyone who has helped me make the hoard grow! It really means a lot to me.

Another update!: We're now up past 140! All the prayers and kind words mean a lot guys. Thank you so much.

Hey In The Darke! I definitely remember you, especially from here on the Hoard Thread and from other places. You've been a hoarder I've looked up to for some time actually You have some really good, really valuable hoards (your lion tails for instance) and that's really awesome! Even more so considering we joined about the same time and I am no where near as good as you are
I agree, CS was a different place back then. But I think it's the users that have changed rather than the site. The original users got older or left, or both. While new users came in and they were different and hadn't had the same experience on CS others had. Not that it's a bad thing to have new people on the site, just saying that it does make a difference. In a lot of cases people don't care about being a community, just about getting the old and rare pets they weren't around for.
Which I can understand in a different way as well, because I only joined in 2012 and some pets were already pretty old and valuable. The newer you are, the more likely you are to just have the newest, least valuable pets to try to trade up for older ones. This way you have to pretty much rely on the generosity of the more experienced users. But as our older users are replaced by more of those coming in with the mentality of just taking, taking, taking, and trying to clamor their way to the older pets they don't have access to, our new users and other users are left with a smaller and smaller group of generous and kind users to help and have fun with.
Sometimes I see the arguments and bannings and rants going on and I wish people would realize again that this is just a game, and it's supposed to be fun..
But ah well. The best we can do is to be the kind of players we want to see: the ones that help newbies and are nice, generous, and active parts of the community

Hey all! I was recently searching through the archive and the Forest Guardians from October 2011 caught my eye. I love them so much but they are super hard to get considering they are an older store pet. Does anyone know their demand and if I should try to trade for them as a group or separately? I was thinking maybe an '09 rare or 2 for 1 and a list pet for all 3? If you don't know what a 'Forest Guardian' is here are pictures of all 3:

I'm super worried though. like. I'm excited to get to finishing my WL ASAP so I can just hoard pets and finish previous ones so I can do my soon to be hpards which I have like 70 pets in.. ugh...

It is a beautiful hoard, whenever I look at mine, I see so many pets which were gifted or given for way less than they're worth. That's why I still gift other stuff away to share the happiness sometimes. ♥

Not all new users are the same you know. Just because I'm new here doesn't mean I've never been part of internet communities before. In all of them I have found that the community makes the game ˆˆ it doesn't matter which game. Anyway, I'm pleased to tell you that I've also met extremely nice people here and have gotten great trades. It actually kind of reminds me of my first internet community which is sadly long gone. I'm so happy that I found this place.

haven't posted in a while, but my hoards are doing great!!
I reached 200 salmon cats!!
I got this hoard from someone (bless their heart) and bumped it up from 70 to 100, I think I can call it good now

I'm also just two of these babes away from completing this hoard too!

I think I know exactly what I wanna hoard next, too

these two pets, in one hoard
I know what I wanna call it too! "autumn breeze and pumpkin seeds" (please don't steal the name haha)
the cat is my favorite in the litter, as well as the dwarf ham which personally reminds me of pumpkins/pumpkin seeds
maybe I'll just start with combined 50 though ^-^'
