Okay, another question for everyone.

How many hoards do you have?

165 + 2 ungrouped, oops. To be fair, most of them are limited ones, but I have 10 endless hoards in there x3

As for the species hoard question; I used to hoard all bwolves and all cats, and I was into the 10k with the former.
But I gave both up years ago to focus on only the outcomes I actually liked.
I briefly considered hoarding chickens, but decided that it'd be better if I only stick to the ones I like.

I've got 26 27 hoards at the moment, one two of them incomplete (just started another one, whee).

When you start a limited hoard, how many pets do you usually collect? Do you always try to get the same amount of pets?

The usual goal I set for my hoards is the amount of 50 pets. When it's an older pet which is a little harder to find or trade for, I often set 10 pets as my goal (the only exception is my Neko/Wildcat Litter hoard, probably because it's a litter hoard with 5 different outcomes and I wanted more than just 2 of every pet XD).
I also have three hoards with 75 pets in it, but they're kinda like exceptions since they're litter hoards as well and they were really easy to obtain.

I feel like I'm the laziest person on this planet.
Yesterday I worked my way halfway through this group, which had roughly 2100 Pets when I starded.
99% of them hoard pets.
And I have even more unsorted hoard pets.
In this group are 937 Dogs, most hoards in my 'Future Hoards' groups have at least 40+ pets.
I should start to make groups for them, but I'm just way to lazy.
Everytime I start I stop after I made like, 3 hoard groups,
just because I got distracted by something xD
(Like seriously, I was sorting my horse&pony hoard group when
my sister called me and we in the end I watched all 3 seasons hannibal with her.
Or the one time I saw that one of my dogs in my Dog hoard group was called Spirk
and read Star Trek fanfictions for the rest of the day.
I get distracted way to easily)
Half a year ago I started hoading the rare black cat from 2010 and have 7 now.
And they still don't have their own group.
Or these fluffy rats from last year.
181 and still unsorted.

DEPENDS.

I might put them in a big group first when I only have a few, but they ALL get their own group.

I'm usually quick to create new groups though.

73. 6 currently sit in a group together because I haven't gotten around to naming and grouping them, 3 are endless, 3 are complete, 10 are 50/50 hoards, and 3 are BEG/CEG themed.

Normally, I go for 100. If it's two of the same litter, 50/50. Other than my endless hoards, the only times I'v gotten a different number are when it's been a full litter hoard (20 of each), or like the Silver snow Leopards, where demand was too high, and I only went for 20.

Typically, I separate the pet I've chosen to hoard (if I have duplicates of it) into my "Ungrouped" section. I then tend to wait until I have at least ten before creating a group for them. Although, I have been known to just create the group on the spot if I have a good name for it.

I usually put possible hoards from the current/last month's growths into this group, and after everything has grown, sort through them and put them into their own groups.
Unless I'm unsure about hoarding them. Or lazy. Currently, lazy.

What hoard have you overpayed for the most?

I've paid 09 rares for as little as three because I want them that badly (and people seem reluctant to let go!) It just means I've quickly accumulated around 60-70 of them already starting yesterday <3
