They would need a Candy Cane Horse to fill the gap (excluding the extra pets they added in)
Demand is opinion, so everyone will have a different one but from what I see cake dogs have better demand than the pink Septembers do.

Just a little unfair to the elf rat, a 5th tier advent is worth 6-7 '09 rares, so if you swapped out the 2012 rare for a '09 rare it should be about fair.
