The Beginners Guide to Butterfly Wolves [Updated 06-05-2020]

You may have noticed some large changes to the front of the thread! i've removed all but the current year to this guide so that it's easier to edit. All other missing years will be added to the wiki over the course of a couple months. It's been a really long chore to get this guide to work and because it was so massively behind when i took over, i couldn't really get it finished. Now though, i should be able to at least keep this year up to date as well as coming years. Any years not in the archives yet will be worked on as well!

I did research and found all most commonly used names for most BW's, this litter is the only litter that has to be named still:

Are the BW in this group African Wild Dog pattern? IF not what are they called? (trying to gather all AWD pets at once)

they all have one thing in common: they look like gloss / lip gloss

I personally don't see them as AWD patterns at all, more german shepard like? i've also not seen anyone refer to them as wild dogs, but you may want to run a forum search in their monthly discussions thread to see what they are being called!

@vixey, i don't really see gloss in them at all? The shine their wings have, all BW's have that.

their colors are very glossy to me!
Like shiny lipstick

other than that three of them are red and one looks like space o.O
could call them the Mars or martian litter haha
and since recently water was found on mars it would be a fitting time to name a litter after the planet

Someone called this a, "yellow toxic butterfly wolf", but does it have an actual name? I though it was, "yellow radioactive butterfly wolf""

I've only ever seen it being called yellow toxic butterfly wolf myself c: Both names work for it though!

Yea, but we've got the yellow toxic dog from 2008 which also has the radioactive symbol, so that's why people just refer to it as the yellow toxic bw xD
