I must say I'm also somewhat disappointed with this pony as well and I can't help but understand anyone else who is also.
When a pet is signaled out from the litter like this one was, you generally expect it to be, well, more impressive-- or at least more special than the rest of the litter in some way.
I'd hazard to say that the foxes are more well-liked than ponies. The foxes are newer pets, and have received a rather warm welcome from the site at large. All of the foxes from this litter are rather neat in their own way, and the PPS is absolutely precious. Several of the foxes look like good time and energy went into their markings. I'm particularly fond of the day 2, 6, and 7 growths.
The pony, in comparison to some of the foxes, seems rushed and boring. The tail is different, but besides that, there's nothing much to it. It's a random pony that was thrown into a litter of foxes that it doesn't exactly match up to. The different starting growth made the pony seem exciting and different, but its final result was.... lackluster. It left a lot to be desired.
I do like the foxes of this litter, and I have loved many other pets from this event. It is very clear that a lot of time and effort went into the pets of this event (just look at all of the deer!)
Overall, there isn't much to complain about with this event-- in fact, there's plenty more to praise rather than criticize. We received a lot of nice pets and items, and I'm sure the artists had to work their tails off to make sure that happened. I'll praise the staff to high hell on their great work during this event-- the cute polar bear PPS, the stunning winged dragon horse, the well-drawn fluffy horse and pony, the GORGEOUS snow leopards, the adorable hamsters, the MANY DEER (cannot get over how many were made), the precious winter items--
but I will not praise something that I dislike or feel was done poorly.
