What are your goals on CS?
I didn't really have a goal when I started out. I just wanted to collect pretty pets. I suppose the last.. three/four years I started really looking at doing a full pet collection.

How close are you to completion?
I'd like to say fairly close. At least 70% completed.

How long have you worked on this goal?
Probably since.. 2018 I suppose is when I really started collecting for a full pet collection.

Most recently I have completed the UR Foods with this banana!

What are your goals on CS?
To just collect all the regular pets (outside store pets and some URs, because that sounds way too difficult)

How close are you to completion?
I have the "12 000 pets" achievement but think I'm pretty far from it, most of my missing pets are VRs from the earlier days. Back then I didn't understand how the site worked so I didn't adopt all outcomes and went on hiatus for months... :v

How long have you worked on this goal?
I'd say since around 2021 or so. This is where I started the hunt to collect pets, but I'm so lost with the new lists and rarities, I have just discovered last month what "non" and "MA" were

But!!! I'm so happy, today I have finally completed my chicken collection !!

saw some discussion a bit back and thought i'd chime in^^

i haven't gone for a "complete" collection (pets or items) in years at this point, but i remember it used to stress me out so bad. and that was before the downfall of the old list/things started to skyrocket as much as it did. i joined way back in 2010, and pretty much took cs seriously from the start, so i was at an advantage and moved my way up fairly quickly. still, a complete collection seemed so beyond unachievable.

eventually, my view on things started to change. even though virtually everyone at the time seemed to be going for a full collection, i decided to focus on specific things (i.e., a full lion collection, a full store collection, etc.) even then, after completing certain sets, i realized that there were handfuls of designs here and there that i wasn't even particularly fond of. once i sat on it for a while, it seemed weird to be collecting pets that i didn't even really care for, especially if there were others out there that did like them.

from that point, it went from full species/events/etc. to completing specific litters, and even that has mostly fizzled out for me. at this point, i just collect the few pets that i really, truly enjoy from the bottom of my heart, and that seems to have taken so much of the pressure off. the only real intentional "collection" i have now is a completed set of store pets (2011-current), and even then i'm considering breaking it up solely because there are those in there that i just don't really enjoy. ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

long story short, i can't imagine trying to go for a full collection these days. as bad as it was before, it seems virtually impossible now. still, it's awesome to watch the progress you guys make, even if it's from a distance lol.

What are your goals on CS? my ultimate goal is to achieve a complete pet collection, but on a smaller scale, my current goal is to collect all omg so commons, very commons, commons, and uncommons. I have achieved this goal in the past, but preceded to take a hiatus that spanned from 2019-2022, setting me back tremendously. I have spent the past month attempting to obtain the outcomes I missed from my time away, but still have a long way to go. I also plan on setting species-specific goals in the future once I figure out which are the most obtainable and/or which ones I'm the closest to completing.

How close are you to completion? my total pet collection is approximately 86% complete. if I had not taken a 4 year break, it would likely be much closer to completion. excluding 2023, I have collected 11908/13775 outcomes total.

How long have you worked on this goal? around since I joined, but I didn't start taking it seriously until a couple years later. very early on I added all of the pets I was missing to my wishlist, but it did not seem to decrease at a rapid pace for a while. it took quite some time for me to fully grasp the concept of trading on chicken smoothie, and I can't say I ever fully have to this day. I have all of my pets sorted by year and month/event, which has helped me to keep track of exactly what pets I'm missing, how many pets I'm missing, etc. yesterday I spent the day filling out Thornes' collection count spreadsheet and edited it a bit to work for me. I'm very happy with the results!

I can’t believe I finally finished it. I didn’t anticipate my offer actually working out, but the person I traded with, we each gave up some pretty pennies.

I’ve actually only been missing five (one from 2009 and four from 2010) for years. A friend helped with a lot when I retired for around four years(ish?). It’s funny because when I first joined, I never saw myself buying a store pet at all. I stayed like that until the alien dogs in 2012; I still own my first store dog, too. I am missing pets that I’m sure are harder to find, but now all my “nightmare” pets (ones that will be such a nightmare to find) are all capable of being rereleased!

Man I'm so overwhelmed my place of work is super understaffed so I've been working a ton of overtime and now my collection is ALL over the place because I haven't had time to keep up with sorting. Like, look at my groups. It is so disorganized I need some motivation ^^, its giving me a headache just looking at it lol

And i'm on my phone which makes everything a little more tedious haha

I have about 500+ recent months pets to sort into groups. I'm missing so many random pets from the tail-end of 2022 and also 2023 pets now. Not sure what to focus on. Like I want to trade for missing pets but to do any swaps I'm gonna have to dig through my mess of monthly and event pets and my ungrouped pets. My ungrouped pets are the biggest confusion because I'm like which ones are from trades and which ones are random pound adopts I don't want to accidentally place multiple in my collection groups so I have to double check everything.

Collectors I have some questions about some recent lines. How are you guys sorting these guardian cats? In a cat group or did you make a new group for this lineart? Also, the otters. Do we think we'll get more otters? Not sure where to place them either. I love them though I hope we get more!

personally I think we will get more otters, they're very cute and there is an official section for them in archive now! and I would put my guardian cats in the regular cat group if I didn't also have holiday tabs
You can look through my pets to see how I organized, though I'm still working on it. I am going to have monthly pets sorted by species and special pets sorted by holiday. Honestly I feel like there are infinite ways to organize and I might never find 'the one' for me ;-; but I try my best!
