Congrats on everyone's progress!!!

I've had to take a break from CS so I'm a little behind in this year's pets- not to mention I've made almost no progress on the rest of my collection. But I think I'm still doing well. Forever stuck on 17 pages left XD

so i decided to have the list pps puppers as a collection rather
than a hoard and i'm up to 6 so far with 18 to go, i'm hoping i can
trade for a few when i trade my sorbet down but how i'll get the
july pps i don't know [ especially when i don't want to part with
actual dreamies for it aha ] as the collection isn't as important x.x

have any of your guys given up dreamies to complete a collection?

I did this. I received an ur tiger in the begging of this year and traded all of my list pets for it and sweared myself to never trade it away because it was my biggest dreamie ever since I joined this site!
But then I realised that for me it's more important to have many lower dreamies than only one high one - and traded my ur tiger for this.
After that trade I started to try for a complete off list collection and now I'm only 13 pages of WL left from that! I don't regret doing this because I know that one day I will be able to achieve that pet again, if throught luck on Dec. 18th, an art shop, offsite trades, the pound or just by saving up enough fodder.
I also traded down another dreamy of mine (nonswirl) for this (warning, 1000+ pets, huge quantity trade). Now a few months later I don't have got another nonswirl but I do have the fodder to get one soon!

So I'd definitely recommend to give up some dreamies to achieve bigger dream pets/dream goals. But I also do have some pets that I won't ever trade, for example my zebra that I adopted myself back in 2014. I wouldn't even trade it for an ur tiger. but if a pet doesn't have any sentimental worth for you, i'd honestly do it (:

Oh that makes sense! The problem is the july pps isn't a dreamy
it's just a collection pet so that's what i'm sort of torn on, have dreamies but not a full pps list collection or have a full
pps lost collection but lose out on actual dreamies?

So wanted to find out what others have done but it totally makes sense about the trading up and down!

i actually finished my beach event collection! i finally found someone willing to trade their aquarium dog, so now i'm done! i'm casually going to collect the items, but definitely just gonna do it in a wl maybe sometimes pick one up kind of fashion. now i'm gonna relax. xD

Not specifically like that, no. Generally, if I have a pet that I really need for a collection, it'll become a dreamie itself. Like when I was collecting all pets from 2011 and I needed the very rare dragon to complete it, it became a dreamie.

But I have a list of store pets that I would like to acquire. They don't belong to a collection, but I could start a "favorite store pets" collection. But to get all the ones I want, I would probably have to give up some list pets... and I'm not sure if I want to

✗ To be completely honest - kinda - I never come on anymore and I have no time to put towards finding the final 40 mainlist pets I need for a complete collection! Its a little bit sad because I only have 2 pages of wishlists left but I honestly havent been able to find anything.

I have xc
I traded the line tribal I got on the 18th in 2015 (first self adopted mainlist since 2011) for bulk WL pets. I traded the angel advent I got from that for a patchwork (one of my huge goals) & the firework PPS for the Cheshire set + a VR rat.

Also, one of my ultimate​ dream pets when I first joined was the Green Android, & eventually I got it them traded it for the last basilisk I needed (another huge goal) plus a list that I traded off for another green Android. Then I traded that one too and haven't gotten another since T-T
Also got my first list malk dragon on the 18th last year. Was a huge dream pet since I joined as well but traded it for a UR Butterbun. Traded that off, got bulk, overpay for one of the lists, got another butterbun for that & eventually traded up to get my first ever UR pet <3 I'm pretty much out of fodder now but I cut down about 50 pages on my WL since 2015 c:
Let's just hope the 18th will give me a good pet to trade without me being attached ;-;
