The teenager ran down the hall, frantically searching his mind for excuses. "I'm late; I'm going to get detention... My pencil broke, I got up late, my mom wouldn't drive me so I had to walk, I got hit by a bus.." None of these excuses seemed to work.
Finally slowing down, the sandy haired boy named Stef paced himself to a walk, then stopped altogether; leaning against the lockers in the empty hall. He stared down at the pencil and paper in his hand; partly due to the fact because they were the reason he was late. He had been drawing all morning in an anxious frustration, trying to get the right face for a girl that would be his persona.
Unfortunately, the clock doesn't wait for artists; and in the end Stef drew right until the final bell rang. The worst part about it? He had Mr. Crawford.
Crawford didn't excuse anybody for anything unless it was an extremely valid reason. And Stef didn't have one.
Sighing, the teen began walking to class. Surprisingly he felt extremely calm. but was still panicking in the back of his mind. His eyes were on his feet as his pace picked up; so he didn't see the girl running in the opposite direction.
They smacked into each other.
As Stef fell back, his notebook flew forward. Not noticing this due to the pain that his forehead was in, he lay on the ground, dazed for a moment, and then was shocked as he sat up to see the girl flipping through his sketchbook.
"Hey..!" He began to exclaim, but as the girl looked up at him with ice blue eyes, he stopped.
"Are these yours?" She asked, almost in astonishment. Stef nodded dumbly, and the girl's face broke into a wide beam. "These are so good!"
Stef smiled as well, getting to his feet. He stretched his paw out to help the girl up, and when she stood up she ran into him again. They both laughed and Stef found himself relaxing when the black haired girl handed back his sketchbook. As Stef looked closer, he realized that she was the perfect face for his new persona. His mouth almost fell open. She was beautiful.
The girl's head tilted in a slight curiosity. "I'm Lily." Her voice came out friendly, and Stef saw a flash of happiness in her eyes as he replied with his name. "Well, it's been nice meeting you, Stef. I have to get to class, now, though. I'm new and the teacher is supposed to be hard on kids with tardies."
Stef raised his eyebrows. "Don't I know it. Where are you headed?"
Lily shrugged. "Mr. Crawford." She let out a huff. Stef grinned.
"I'm headed there, too. Let's go together; and I can just say I was showing you around the school." Lilly's smile broadened.
"The perfect excuse."
(I'm not sure if stories are allowed, but if not here's one of my pet pairs. c:)

This is so cute <3 one of the only mini stories I have read to the end. Is this a section of a whole story or just a little one for those two characters? Because if it is a story I would love to hear the rest :)
You also have the same two storgis as me xD
