"I don't know if I can do it..." the white, grey and blue dog whimpered through her teeth as she held onto the dreamcatcher as if her life depended on it. Tears were pushing through, and she squeezed her eyes shut in an attempt to keep them at bay.
"Shh.." the male said, nuzzling her cheek gently. "I know you can do it, Nicole.". With that, the female dog started to relax a bit. She guided the energy of her soul, as she was told, and suddenly a warm feeling filled her. She felt as if she had stepped into a warm bath. The male dog gasped slightly, as he saw the energy of his mate shining and running along the strings of the dreamcatcher, and he saw vibrant wings growing out at her back, much like his own when he had mastered the skill of fighting.
Nicole couldn't belive it. Finally she could battle alongside her mate! She snuggled up against him lovingly, and he embraced her.
"Thank you Louis..." she whispered.
