now, what i don't get is, i was offering overpay. then it was edited to more overpay. it would have been
a fair swap if they had asked for one of the items on their side.

I'm still rather new to CS, but I just can't wrap my head around most personal "trading rules". I honestly hope I'm not the only one that thinks some are completely overboard- you don't need to write in giant bolded letters saying how much you hate something, threaten that you'll foe/blacklist me if I make an honest mistake, cancel a trade with a rude response, ect ect ect. So far, that's almost all I've been getting. Great way to help a newer member learn the ropes, right? ^^ I also don't think I'll ever understand why people get so heated with one sided suggestions- is it really that bad? All for virtual pets??

I like trading, don't get me wrong, but I can do without feeling like someone is trying to throw me prison.

That moment when you get the fourth trade that goes against your rules.

I finally opened up a trade topic in order to trade my items for pets. It clearly says what I prefer and what I will accept.
It clearly says that I want PETS for my items and there is also a list of what I dont want:

No ponies, no rabbits, no rats, no squids, no spiders, no butterfly wolves, no chickens, no owls

It also is stating that I am not trading my event tokens for anything.

The moment I posted the topic, the first trade I got:
I said I am NOT trading my event tokens.

After many trades, I finally got a trade for my other items as well. Some had a nice outcome, others just didnt get it...

Received this trade.
Told them that I am only trading my items for pets, as it stands in my rules and preferences list in my trade topic.

So I get this back....
I repeated once more that I want PETS for my items, and told them to reread my preferences so they get an idea what I might want.

In the end I get this....
I told them to reread AGAIN, because you can see above, that in my list says I also dont want owls.
They sent the same trade back so I went ahead and cancelled, giving up.

The greatest problem is that some people either ignore rules completely, they are lazy, dont care, or simply skim over the rules and preferences list, dont read it through even if you tell them to, and are so eager to trade and dont understand why the trade was cancelled. This is why I hate trading...

So I was just minding my own business, organizing my pets and such, when I get a trade offer. It was from someone I'd never seen before, but naturally I assumed that the user just happened to find me and take a liking to one of my pets. I open the trade, and lo and behold, there's a store pet on my side and nothing on theirs. What does this person say?

"Can you please donate to my adoption center?"
