I got the following pets traded/gifted to me.
A 09 Rare orange-red Malk dragon
Three 09 Rare Malk wolves
Two 09 Rare Dogs
A 09 Very Rare rat
Lots other pets I don't quite remember off my head.

Why is this so difficult? But they're my dream pets, so I won't part with them.

Apparently Hyena Advent have no demand to speak of. And here I thought people would be clawing my eyes out trying to get it. Not to mention the UR Cat, not a single bid. And the only ones I get for the UR Chicken are bunches of 2013 Rares with the messages "OMG this is my dreamie plz accept!!"

Side rant, my auction group is clearly marked "Auction, bids only" and yet I get ten normal trades a day for them. Come on people.

Wanting to auction a pet because
A- you'll get ranted about because of the demand even though it's not your fault
B- you can't put fair autos because of demand
C- you don't know if you'll be able to get one back again

Exactly. I had 100s of rants a day because of my august PPS lion auction. People also sent me hate mail.
In the end I just accepted a random bid because I was sick of it.
You.People sending the hate mail and rude rants. Stop it.

I'd say auctioning my PPS lion was the worst mistake on my CS career. Who knew a virtual pet site could get you depressed?
Not only did I get hate mail, but sometimes people even mentioned me in their rant or copied the entire auction thread into their post on the trade rant thread. Often it was edited by mods, but it still hurt to see how much people hated me because I was auctioning a pet and people were paying advents and septembers for it. It's not my fault they offered that.

I've waited more a month for this auction, which broke a rule, so I politely told the owner. They re-started the auction.
And I send a bid, and they say "I love it! Almost and auto"
Now they're considering canceling the auction?! I even added more rares and a large dreamie of yours.

I'm tired of waiting and negotiating only to get no where.

The thing with auctioning high demand pets is that it does look greedy.
No matter what you do, it's going to look that way.

Not all high demand auctions are bad, but the majority of them are like this:

(I made those up, k, leave me alone, but seriously, it's close enough.)

Then usually if you auction something similar you get thrown into the crowd. And most people deserve it, I can't even count how many times someone has auctioned a high demand pet for extreme overpay, and then ranted about not being able to get another fairly.

It's pretty disgusting, to be honest, and I wish people would stop doing it.

And the reason people get hate is because they get great bids, and rate them unfairly, say they paid more, want to see how much more they can squeeze out of someone, and it's gross. The users who do this don't deserve hate, but they do deserve to be called out and put in their place, especially the hypocritical ones. (Oh I hate demand WAH, but I'm going to auction off this Shima Longtail which I whined and cried about so someone would trade it to me fairly or gift it to me, but I'm not gonna let you have it unless you give me a high september.)
