Auction Rant Thread [v2] New Rule!

i thought BEG had good demand, i just want to trade mine down for fodder, and hopefully getting the last 3 pets i really want (both cerbs and the joker)

the only bids im getting are tier swaps (one with overpay), or ones with no list pets at all.

i dont want the spotted tribal, i want a TRADE DOWN not a SAME TIER swap, i dont care what you add on your side, its NOT A TRADE DOWN

why is it when i get a pet it gets no bids in an auction, but when others auction it, they get good bids ;.;

What part about no autos is confusing?

"What will auto it?" There's no autos.
"Can you add so I auto it?" There's....there's no autos.
"Will this plus this auto it?" What...I----there are NO AUTOS.

Not to mention getting three bids with C$, when I specifically said no C$.
Not to mention getting bids sent as suggestions when I specifically said no suggestions.

Even after all this I'm getting really good bids at least, so I have little to really complain about XD

It's in my signature so you can see it on every post I make, it's in my trade rules so you know it's being auctioned.... Why in the world would you send a suggestion (which I specifically state not to do in my auction thread) and after I send it back saying bids are to be sent as trades, you say "as a trade?"

No, it's being auctioned you're not so special that an exception should be made for you

However, I used the same pets in a few other bids for the same type of pet, too.
A lot of people do that, correct?
One of the auctioneers from the other auctions messaged me telling that it was rude to trade my pets away.

I decided to try auctioning my red tox again, since I was unsuccessful last time. Three bids since I put the thread up the other day, but all of them are underpay by at least seven tiers, some more than that. One doesn't even have any list pets in it, and another broke my rule about not offering unknown rarity pets. I am never, ever going to get rid of this toxic fairly, am I? All I want for it is a lower main list and maybe a September or two! Why is that so hard to get?

No one seems to actually be interested in trading up to them, and those who can can't afford it by a lot D:
You're probably best just holding it in a trade group, and advertising it in your siggy or trade thread, then someone who may dislike auctions, have enough, and actually want it might come along and offer something you like xD

I tried that for a few weeks and it didn't really work. I did get some ok bids last time I tried to auction it, but the best one was an overpay that neither I nor the other person was sure was a good idea, and the other was a tier swap to the UR rat, plus a few other rares. Not a bad trade, but not what I wanted. I was so excited to get this darn toxic from the advent calendar, though--not because I like the toxic dogs but because it meant I could finally start trading on the rares list. It's the only list pet I have that wasn't a gift, a pound grab, or a prize. But as it is I've been stuck with it for a month, and the only offers I've really liked have auto-cancelled before I could figure out if they were fair (like, less than a day later). It's just been a nightmare and at this point I really want it gone if it's humanly possible to do it fairly.

But honestly. Why even put it there if nobody is even going to bid that much?

I'm trying to auction my UR ice cat again. Last time I had a lot of trouble with auto cancels, unfair, and rule breaking trades. This time the first bid I got was auto canceled the next day. Not a great start. Next bid was unfair to me. And now I have a bid that's actually a crazy over offer...nothing to rant about in that regard. But...I'm not a huge fan of the pet they're offering...and it's a rat, so it will be hard to trade off. They're also asking for a lot of my rare pets in addition to the ice cat, so it will pretty much clean out my decent trade fodder. But it's a huge over offer. I'm really torn! Ice cat, why must you make my life so difficult??
