But then I'm slightly confused...? If a current store pet is worth a mid 2010 rare, then shouldn't a 2012 store pet be worth a 2009 rare making a 2011 store pet worth an '08 rare?

I was told an Store Pet is worth an Rare from 2 years ago. So an 2012 store Pet is worth an 2010 Rare.

red cerb + ? = BMD

:) also does the BMD fetch much when auctioning?

Going strictly by rarity the red cerb would need to add just over three mid advents or around a scarf PPS.
In an auction setting I've seen the BMD go for everything from a floppy eared pink september up to a balloon dog. Now of course that isn't typical in any way but I would say fairly consistently high septembers or the occasional low main list. :) But then again - it depends 100% on the bidders. :)

Yeah, pretty much. It also depends on what month the 2010 rare was in.
