Speaking of trading up/down.. lately, all List pets I've seen are in Paperclip groups.
I mean, okay sure, maybe some people still don't mind giving you something worth a bit more, but what am I supposed to do in order to get a fair little Advent list swap?
It's like every single person I try to trade with, they're only paperclipping.
No, I won't trade down.
All I want is to trade fairly.
Is even fairness too much to ask for now?

The whole paperclip thing is in my opinion more than annoying.
Especially if someone asks you directly if you would give a higher pet for their lower paperclip pet away.

A real paperclip trades up fairly...... it is a common misconseption by people who have paperclips that it is ok to trade unfairly

I have the feeling that some people are blind when they look on a trading thread.
I offer my music note dog for a fair paperclip to a Jan '09 rare dog.

Typical paperclipping is fair.
For example, I'm paperclipping my Red Toxic. If I were to send a trade to someone looking for a pet worth more than my Toxic, I would add to my side to make it fair. It's just the most valuable pet in that trade on my side would be the Red Toxic. It's only when people offer the overpay that I don't add anything to my side. (If that makes any sense. I need to sleep so sorry if that doesn't.)

People who paperclip and think that they can just get pets worth more just because they're paperclipping don't really understand it (and yes, are a bit annoying). Yes you are trading up your pet, but no, that doesn't mean you can ask people to overpay just for you.
