After a friendly conversation I lost an art customer because of my prices.

It was a ton of detail they were asking...glad I didn't draw the picture then give the price...still...

Some people expect some pretty detailed stuff for low-demand pets.
Like, I had someone tell me they weren't willing to pay ANY rares or uncommons for art. Well I'm sorry, but you pay for what you get. If you want a quick scribble with some sloppy color, fine. Offer your commons.

If you want effort in your picture, you need to pay fairly. You don't get a Lexus for 600 bucks, if you catch my drift.

I know the feeling i had one person foe me because i wouldn't accept 2 uncommons for a peice of complex art

but my shop clearly states that complex poses my have an increase in price

The user said they wanted only one of the very rares they offered on, and said the pets they offered me would be worth one very rare. When I said that the trade was unfair to me and canceled, saying they needed to study trade values, she said she was offended I told her that the suggestion she sent me was unfair. I looked through her pets and items, and there wasn't any on my wishlist that could make what she sent me more fair.

Apparently telling the person that she needed to learn trading values means I'm calling her "stupid." Well thanks, now I feel offended because she pretty much called me rude.

Soooooo many people undervalue art when .... it takes A LOT OF TIME, practice, study to accomplish it. Even scribbles. There are some darn good 'scribbles' out there that still show a lot of action, dynamic posing and anatomy. ARRRGH. Nor do a lot of people realize that you are doing art FOR FREE. Free pets= free art. It really IS that simple.
