I hate it when people send me one sided "what would you like for this?" trades when I clearly state in the rules not to. Ugh.

this...this a LOT...I hate the "what would you offer for this?" Trades more though. ;-; I'll offer whatever I have...IN MY TRADE GROUPS. seriously people...look through them.

Can someone tell me why we have them?

It's just... They're so confusing. List confusion = bad trades. I, personally, do not at all like the rares list. How is a very rare worth more than an omgsr? Yes, I understand that, say the Sunjewel and the moon swirl. They are both omgsr, but there must be less of the Sunjewel to make it top of the list, am I wrong?
Why don't we scrap rares lists and have more rarity scales? It's just... *shivers*

Yes xD like, there should be a species list instead. Saying which pets are more popular and how much this pet worth compared to this type of pet. And so on XD

What would be a fair swap is an 09 rare for an 09 rare. Or 2 09 rares for an 08 rare.

That's a good idea but the problem is that each species has one or two that are worth significantly more than the rest - like the bumblebee spider, UR BW, Malk dragon PPS, etc.
That's one thing about CS - there is no guaranteed "right" value for any pet - just an estimate. That's what the rares list is. :)
Personally I think it would be really cool (but WAY too much work) to make point values for each of the pets. Say a mid advent is 20 points for example so a grinner (worth 2 mid advents) would be worth 40 points, etc.
But that would be a TON of work and still people wouldn't always agree.
