If we were to exclude demand; you'd need to have about 8-10 mid '09 rares. This is excluding demand.

8-10 is way too much. That would be enough for a high advent.
You'd probably need about 5 mid '09 rares.

It takes roughly four mid '09 rares to get on the advent list, then the gap between tiers is about an '09 mid rare.

thats not entirely true.
each gap is different. most are late 09 rares. some are a few uncommons.
honestly only a few 09 rares need to be added.
