The best and probably easiest way to get onto the list would probably be waiting for December 18th and 24th or enter giveaways held by quitting users.
Alot of people get valuable pets that way.

Nope, there's an easier way. Trade common pets, newborns, halloween candy, whatever, as long as it's common, for C$.
Especially at events, there'll be lots of C$ traders who will give C$ for that stuff.
Then just collect C$ until you have enough to equal a list pet. That way, a couple of uncommons will be worth a low advent (;

I have a side rant... Just because your pet is "valuable" doesn't mean that I want it and have to trade my pet for it. If I think it's ugly (not trying to bash on artists. not all pets are my taste. beauty is in the eye of the beholder.) I don't care what you are trying to trade me for (within reason) I'm not going to accept it. Nothing personal. I just don't want that pet.
