I honestly don't like this litter. To me, the resemble the the swirly parent more. Sure there's the brown of the other, but, they have the same pattern as the swirly. Sure the peacock is more bland, but it does have more colors thank just brown. I'd have loved to see the other colors in these. Grey, white, brown, and the green. IDK where that green came from. IDK, aside from the reverse peacock, I don't see /both/ parents any of the other dogs. They just look like different colored swirly dogs. Oh, some are brown, but they don't resemble any other way as the peacock dog to me. The could have had the face mask of the peacock, or, even just have been *more* colorful and they would be better IMO. I was really hoping they would have all the colors of the peacock dog. The blues and darker greens. I'm disappointed.

I don't know why you say that. I can easily see both parents in 3 of them except for the PPS and that bright green pup.
I can't see the Peahen in the PPS at all and yes, the Peahen is green but not that bright shiny neon green color x.X
But the two brown pups: Color from mom, swirls from dad. The grey pup: Colors from dad, design from mom.

Overall it's a very lovely family, my favorite is the grey adult <3

I really love all the outcomes of that litter except for the last one. The bright nearly neon green just isn't working for me. If the green were less saturated or darker, I think she'd be my favorite outcome in the litter ;A;

I really like this litter, and it might turn out to be one of my favorite of the year.
However, once I saw the mom was the peahen, I really started to look forward to subtle blue and green coloration integrated into the KISS pattern. That's not how it turned out though, and I guess I am a little disappointed that the only color is a bit garish and in-your-face.
Aside from that, if I can ignore the tag and see them as just regular adopts, I love this litter!!!!

I love this litter. I am so glad I hoard black and white pets, I can add these 3 to my hoard. I love how the first one's face reminds me of my fursona's. I love the odd-eyes on the other two. I just love this litter overall
I wanted to put mustaches on all of them but I only have a Santa mustache.

And it kind of makes me confused, that the ones who talked kind of negatively about the pets are being talked negatively about. They weren't rude in my eyes. Yes, they don't like the litter. But they stated they didn't like the pets because of certain things, that they hoped for. They didn't say "Oh I just hate them, they're ugly", no? o-o'
Especially this sentence: "I mean, they are not bad, not at all, I was just hoping for [...]", how is that rude? ^^; Maybe I just don't see what you guys see, because English isn't my mothertongue at all and I'm seeing things differently.

If I compare the 2nd gens with their parents, personally, I would be a little sad that the pups' colors were mostly brown and gray (with that sudden splash of lime green--which is pretty nice, but it hurts my eyes XD; ). I would be very sad that there was none of the peahen's dark blue because that's one of the dark blues I actually think is pretty xD But if I look at the pups and don't compare them to their parents, then I'm fine :3 I especially love the cinnamon roll dog and the PPS pup ;u; so adorablekjfhsdjfhsdkj and I love the speckles/spots/dots on all of the pups C:

Honestly, everyone's entitled to their opinion and shouldn't be retaliated against because of it. This is a discussion thread, not a "praising comments only" thread, after all. Artists need to be able to handle good and bad critique. Trust me, I know the feeling, but I don't get mad when someone doesn't care for what I make. You take it with a grain of salt and move on, or possibly learn from it and become better at what you do.

I'm not particularly fond of all the earthy colors of that litter, but then again I've been noticing the past year, that the more common pets turn out to be pretty dull looking, and only the rare and up ones are bright and beautiful, which is kind of unfair for the people (read: me) who seem to have terrible luck getting anything past an uncommon when adopting for the month (which I've also noticed has changed dramatically from a few years ago).

But, that's just me. I shouldn't get flamed for having a differing opinion, but I'm sure I will.

As for the prettier pets being more rare? IDK, I got 4 of this one, and I think it's the prettiest of it's litter. ^^"

Definitely agree. As long as criticism is polite and constructive, I think it should be fair game. It's also a good way to grow as an artist, or to see what people on CS actually like and improve for the next time. c:
Would suck if this site became ridiculously censored, pretty sure I would leave if it did.

Obviously, being rude doesn't count as constructive criticism, but I'm really hoping people would know that haha.

That's the thing though, its NOT constructive criticism. Let me reiterate what Hekomi and Benathorn said back on page 153, because they said it best.

Please use constructive criticism when discussing whether or not you do or do not like pets from this month. Merely stating "I don't like it" isn't really all that nice. Saying, "It's not my cup of tea, I don't prefer X but I really like how you blended the design on the legs" or something is much better. Otherwise you're not helping the artists improve and just being rude.

Constructive crit is constructive crit. If you question the fact that you have none to give then it may just be best not to say anything at all. Artists do not need to hear that you don't like something unless you can offer some good advice for them to improve upon.

So if you have something negative to say about the pet, then make a suggestion and point out something positive about the pet. That's what a critique is.

It really gets rather tiresome to come home to reading pages of "I really don't like this litter!" or "Why doesn't it have X instead of Y? Its ruined!". I don't expect backpats, but really, as these two people pointed out, if you don't have anything good you can offer with ways we as artists can improve, then don't comment about it at all. There are PLENTY of other pets you can rave about. WE KNOW we can't please everyone. The lack of comments about it will say it all to us, not how much you don't care for the growth. Otherwise, it is just being rude.
