Trade Rant Thread [v. 16] *new rule*

How I can't really understand why people don't want people sending them gifts. I can understand if it's their opinion, but anyone, are there any reasons why they wouldn't want gifts?

I was raised to be hesitant of taking things from people, even with their consent. It naturally makes me feel bad accepting gifts. :I
It could also be that the pet you're giving them is not something they want, something they'd rather you give to someone else, or something they want to get by themselves.

There are many reasons to not like gifts.

I wouldn't accept a gift that I would trade away. I'd feel guilty otherwise so if it's something a gift and I can't trade it out with a pet I own (because that pet was a gift or pound pet) I feel bad about taking it because it makes my collection uneven. (Alt account experiment excluded- the gifts I received for that was stated that I would give away later.)

Guys, I'm going to say this again.
If a person isn't happy with a trade, they have every right to rant about it.
That's obviously what they didn't want for their store dog.
Now knock it off.

I think the big problem is that Hybridpanda didn't express what was wrong with the trade. They just posted the link, which suggests that the trade was unfair. I think this is all a miscommunication.

I mean usually if someone posts here just a link with no words you assume it's a super unfair trade, but this was at the least fair to them hence I was wondering what was wrong with it!

ahh sometimes i think paperclips are a bad idea. I can not get mine to go anywhere, maybe i should just trade down and hope to get back up somehow?

I just went through the daunting task of my trades folder and out of the many many trades sent to me, i only accepted like 2 or 3 of them. How hard is it to make me a complete offer that is fair and only includes dogs/ wolves. After putting it in my rules, I just don't get how folks continuously try to trade stupidly. I mean come on, a 2012 common for a 2009 rare??? What the heck is that. OTL
