i know how you feel, but for me it's with pets a little farther up the september list, but i don't know if i can pay for them..

by the way, does anybody here know if the demand for a dark leopard or blood pps is high or not? i've found two people with them, but i don't know if they'd be easy to try and get on the main list with..

Just because the demand is huge, doesn't mean we're not overpaying.

Nope, not at all. You can't say demand factors into the value of rarelist, advents, etc. but not other pets. No-one would think an early 2009 rare would be overpay for a raven dog, demand gives it more value. Overpay would be more than the average offer, more than the seller can expect to get. A 2011 rare is not more than a July lion seller should expect to get.

It's crazily inflated and I imagine it's value will drop like a rock once demand dies down and I don't think it's worth paying that much for, but that is it's current value.

Yeah, that's it's real value...in Crazy Town

And a Raven dog is not worth a 2009 rare.
It's on the rare's list and fairly high up.
Old store pets are always worth more because they aren't released again.

Actually the value is estimated via supply and demand. And let's face it the demand is huge. And people who can afford it just pay that big so they will secure the pet despite demand.

So I tend to agree with Wolfy-Girl here.

That does not mean an Advent for the Lion is fair, nor that I would pay one ( and I did not do so).

But it's the nice example we were taught in economy class at school: Selling someone water in the middle of a lake and in the middle of the desert does make a difference even though it is the same glass of water.
It's not fair but it'd demand.

I'd say demand is medium, but not too high for sure. No-one is desperately after them I know that but they're not as low demand as things like pink septembers.
