I see so many people ranting about autos..
And I agree with every word being said about them.

That's why the rare times I ever hold an auction,
I refuse to have a single auto, and make it a rule not to demand an auto from me.
Why? Cause.. some people have actually sent in a bid and said they're overpaying and I need to auto them.

Wow that's horrible!! I can't beleive that someone would actually demand that you auto the auction!! If youhave no autos posted, they should be respectful of that!!

Wow and unfortunately you're not the only one to get people demanding you auto their bid. I haven't ever gotten anything like that but i have seen other people have that.

And the old Auto's rant. We meet agian you old friend.
Auto is short for autonatically. Now I'm not the only one who knows that but it seems alot of people still miss that meaning. It means you get it you accept it then. Automatically. No second thoughts. No waiting to see if you can get a bigger fish. You accept it right when you see it. Some people seem to have forgotten that.

Some people even knuckle under the 'autos are subjected to changing'. What I mean by that is I've seen someone with Auto's up. I've watched it for a little bit but then I see something a bit strange. Their auto's kept changing. Now I watch auctions to see if I'm interested in bidding. But when I see autos constantly changing I tend to look a bit closer. A few people will actually change their auto once they receive a bid with thier 'old' auto. Now that would be quite frustrating for the people in the bid but for the people on the outside watching...that's just wrong.

You can't promise a dog a treat if it gets the paper and change your mind once it brings it to you. Your reckin to get bite doing that. But to that dog that's just using it for a false promise.

I agree with the person who said there should be staff intervention at some point with an auction when people are playing games like that. Baiting people with false autos. Using a claimed auto bid by the runner of an auction to get a 'better offer'. That dreaded 'will auto in a certain time frame if not outbidded' when you sent an auto. At some point there's got to be an end to the games. If you say it's an auto then it's a freaking auto. Don't dance around that. Honor your freaking commitment that if someone sends you your claimed auto you accept it. You don't post it on the thread until after you a accepted it. If you post something as an auto it should be that and you should be okay with it before you post that.

Within a few minutes of sending the first bid to a BA auction, there's already been a higher offer. Great to have my closest chance to obtaining my dreamy taken away from me that quickly. Again. :C

So, a long while ago i was scammed out of my orange cerb (which had been a gift) and i hadn't known i could've used it to trade for a dreamie. Anyway, i've been trying to get one back, so i looked at this one auction

1st annoyance:
I ask a question and the next post they do, they completely ignore me and just bump it

2nd:

* blue sorbet
* BA

Wow. And i can't post anything because i've seen when people do that on auction threads and it's considered 'rude' by most
I mean, i understand why most people wouldn't like it, but really. Is the auto an OMG so rare i wonder?

I really don't like how you send a supposed auto, and they just put it up as a bid and wait. ;-;

This is why I really think that auctions should have rules enforced by the CS staff. I think if it is an auto then they should have to accept it or else end the auction. Don't call something an auto win if you aren't going to automatically accept it, that's the point of it.

i agree with this so much. it seems like a lot of people are just getting really upset by people who don't actually have their supposed autos as automatic wins. but the only thing is this little bit from the auction rules:

• Autowins are not always definite and may change at any time. You can't force someone to complete an offer.

though i really do think this should be modified. too many members just seem to be really irritated with the way some auctioneers carry themselves when it comes to autowins. :I

- Almost any overpay or anything above it on the rares list that I like

a tad bit of dream-auto overkill, don'tcha think?...

The point of autos are so that people can put things that they would 100% for-sure, no-thought-required accept if they're offered that. They're not supposed to be reasonable.

Really? I mean, yeah, your autos are supposed to be a bit above your pet's worth but this is a bit... much.
I get the feeling they don't really intend to trade off that dog. I stay far away from those kinds of auctions as they just string me along and toy with my emotions forever until I'm on the verge of just snapping.

So upset right now.

I spotted a quick BA auction that according to the front page, would end in the next ten minutes. There were a couple bids that were not very good so I was positive I would win with my Yellow Toxic. Within the next couple minutes, my bid was auto cancelled and the BA went to someone who offered a Blue Rose. A Blue Rose. And I offered a Yellow Toxic.

I went to the winner and offered my Toxic for the BA, explaining the same thing I did with the last person. They said their BA wasn't for trade. And that was that. My closest chance to get the dog and get my dream pet with it crushed for the second darn time.

I am so upset right now, that was my auction to win. :c
