The message is defenitly creepy.

Some people trade the same pets because they want a pet that was born on a certain date. Or they want that pet because of it's ID = )

But later the user PM'ed me and told me it was a joke, though.

Maybe.. And yeah, it's probably(hopefully) just a joke, 'cause I looked at the person's profile, and they had 3000+ posts, so they aren't a newbie.. :\

10. This is NOT a place to badmouth and rant about hoarders.
There is no rule in the rule area that people cannot hoard pets. Please don't whine or rant about it. This rule is very important, and was put here because we have had to deal with it before.

You mean like when I traded someone a Red Rose for a July Lioness? I consider literally giving a Red Rose away "Sharing the love"

Or the Dark Leopard I did the same with. Or the Hyena Advent I gave away for 17 Aquarium Dogs.
