yep, that about sums it up. my brother decided to add nothing but rares/very rares/OMGSORARES onto his wishlist with older uncommons. This ain't going to go well for him :\

Waited several days.

The person just sent me a PM saying that they had been considering, and decided to put it for auction. Did I want my trade to be put as a bid?

.........no, person, I do not want to be part of an auction. I was offering excessive overpay as it was because of how badly my brother and I both want one of these things now. I put most of a locked group- that was on your 1 page wishlist- into that offer, not to mention the Shima B-wolf and the Advent List bunny. If you think you can get better, be my guest, I can be patient and go back to looking.

I cancelled politely, even though I don't feel like being nice after a three hour drive and coming home to find that lovely message in my inbox.

I pay a mainlist for July lion...

Demand dies down immediately after I get it.
The user i traded with is fine with a trade back but I feel horrible (they were going to use it to get their dream pet)

I've actually decided not to try and get the lion. Not till everyone realizes it isn't worth that much. Then i'll sneak in like the sneaky thing I am and snatch one up from a person with good taste that realizes lions aren't worth UR tigers.
