I've seen so many trade rules which are turn-away messages lately- my current 'favorite'? The one I just saw saying the person only trades for wishlist rare dogs.

.....out of curiosity, I clicked to see if I had anything on their wishlist. All of the 18 pets I had on their wishlist were cats, butterfly wolves, and squids, except for my brother's green android dog.

Conflict of their own rules, there, and I backed away quickly. If the rules conflict, it's best not to try trading because you don't know which is right.

Do you ever find that bad trades come in herds? I had no bad trades for two days, and this morning in 45 minutes I have had to cancel about 9, all of which involved 2010 pets for this month's horses. >.O; Do people think these horses are magical?

Honestly I think it's because they resemble Avian. People who don't have a clue see the design and think they're valuable maybe?
Other than that, not sure.

Could be trying to get fodder for a quantity auction.

So since there are so many players that don't know the rules....are they posted somewhere for everyone to understand? How can we expect new players to get any better if the rules are unwritten? I only ask this since I have a COPPA thread started for them. Anyone have any general guidelines that would help them understand better?

In my trade rules are links to both the Rares List Guide and Understanding Rarities Guide.

Another few good guides for them would be the various guides for Pet Names, etc. so they would know what the pet is called when looking at the Rares List.

Sorry that pet is in another trade. Also, if you look at the dates the dog is older than the squids; meaning that it is worth more. Also, the dog on my side is a malk dog which is a retired design. I wish you luck in the future trading.
