A lone dog trudged on through the snow, squinting his eyes as it tried to keep in motion during the blizzard. The dog was a husky, and was harnessed up for a sled, though the sled was no where to be seen. The dog looked frantically, quickening its pace as it continued looking for the sled. Snow beat down on his pelt without holding back, making the husky shiver non stop. His coat was wet with snow, his body trembling from the blizzard and of fear. His eyes showed worry, disappointment, and pure terror. But the husky kept on moving, kept pushing itself to move on, trying to find his master and his sled team.
As the hours went by, the husky drew weak and tired, his body shutting down from the beat down his body was taking. His eyes drooped, showing defeat, though he wouldn't stop trudging through the snow, moving head on through the blizzard. The husky sniffed the air, but it was no use. He was lost. As the husky moved on, his legs gave out and slipped through the snow, making him land on his side with a grunt. The husky didn't moved, nor made a sound. His chest heaved, tired and exhausted from the search, and his body shivered as the snow kept falling down on him. Finally, after what seemed like forever, the husky sat up in the snow. The fur on his back and neck blew with the blizzard wind, and his head was down casted to the ground. A whimper came from the dog, as a few drops of tears trickled down his face, then freezing where they were.
He realized he lost his team, his master, and now his life. It was a cold hard truth, and the husky looked up and accepted it. With one last howl, he layed down on his stomach and whimpered. "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean for this to happen." . After a long pause, the only sound to be heard was the blizzard wind. The husky layed there still, slowly being covered in snow, as if waiting for his apology to be answered. It was never answered.
"Rest in peace my family." the husky whispered, closing its eyes as tears streamed down his face. "I shall join you in time."
The blizzard kept going throughout the night, and the husky was nowhere to be seen.
