Trade rant thread

Not really a rant but I really wanted to say this and I guessed the best place to say it would be here. ^^;
I tend to get really nervous whenever I send a trade to someone who I don't know very well and has a lot of posts ect. And I get afraid of offending them >_< I'm annoying myself, I do it so much. After I send the trade I tend to look back and wonder, "Oh, maybe I should have offered a bit more..." and then I panic thinking about how they might consider me if the trade really was unfair...
I guess I shouldn't worry so much, but... ^^;;

Yeah, I feel the same way - I send a trade, then worry myself sick wondering if I did the right thing...

At least you send them. I tend to pick out the pets I'm going to trade, set it all up and then decide against it before I've even sent it...
And I've had people sending me trades that start with - 'Please don't get mad at me for sending this...'
That can't be right at all. People get values wrong sometimes, but they shouldn't be scared to send trades - the whole point of the site is to trade.

This. I really feel sorry for noobs that get nothing but a squiggly no or some insult as a trade cancel message.

I always get nervous when making trades, or even reading trades. I don't want to ask for too much, but I don't want to sound like I don't know what I'm doing in the message, cause then they might try to take advantage of me.

You just have to read some of the comments in this thread here. No wonder, some folks are scared. Yeah, there are those that don't learn and sent bad trades over and over, but I think it's a pretty small amount.

What I'll sometimes do if I'm nervous about sending a trade for a certain rare pet, I'll add in a less rare pet that I also want, and put in my offer. I'll send it as a suggestion and state that if they don't want to trade the rarer pet, that's fine, and I would like the less rare pet. Hope this makes sense xD

I just got offered an uncommon malk demon dog for a rare 08 advent lion seriously, what's wrong with these people. Just because it's on my wishlist doesn't mean i'm ripping myself off for it.

Someone offerred a rare rat, and 2 uncommons dogs. For my Zebra.
None were even on my wishlist to begin with, and second............seriously? they joined in 08.
