I don't like when people do that. :/ Perhaps it was a mistake? I've had people that diliberately put pets in their trade groups and said that they were not for trade, though.

I find that odd as well - why do people do that? I offered on a sun jewel that was in a trade group (and mind you, it was an over offer, because I was going to give a moon swirl and most of the rares in my rare trades) and the person cancelled saying that it wasn't up for trade. I assumed it was a mistake that they had put it in the trades group, but they left the jewel in their trades and as far as I know, it's still there, even after I pointed out it was in the trades. :/

I wish there was a rule against deliberately baiting newbies to make offers on expensive pretty pets, yelling at them in the most mean ways imaginable and then writing in the Trade Rant Thread about it like it was the most horrible thing you ever experienced.

I miss the days people actually had real rants to make here. Now it is just a competition on who can be the meanest towards the newbies.

I just got a PM from a newbie, she's been here for a week or so. She sent me that PM, because she was AFRAID OF SENDING ME A TRADE.
She had sent a trade to someone, been polite and explained in her message that she was new and didn't really know the rarities and that she'd be okay with giving more for the pet (an uncommon 09 mind you).
The person had canceled the trade, telling her to sod off and learn rarities instead of sending people stupid trades.

There are a lot of people on this site who send bad trades and deserve to get smacked around for it, but not everyone does. Someone actually might take it personally.

I absolutely agree with you. It's not nice towards newbies, because they really don't know how things work in here. Thinking of yourself in their place, it really wouldn't be fair if you send a trade and be polite and stuff, and you get nothing but mean words back. -_o

I agree entirely. If you get a considerably bad trade, then post it and then whine about it. But don't use those new to the site as your bait for bad trades, as it's rather pathetic. We were all new once, and whenever you join a site in the future you will be new, too. I know for a fact that if someone had to turn around and do such to you when you were only a day old on CS, you wouldn't take too kindly to it, either.

Anyway, onto a real trade I actually got:
A '10 Butterfly Wolf and 2 V.Day Draft's. All for an Uncommon '08 dog.

What? Check your rarities. Browse the forum and pick up the needed info like I did. I'm not trading away an '08 dog for 3 pets released last month. Hopefully they take heed of my advice - check rarities, they mean something. And after an awesomesauce day at school, I'll return tomorrow morning and find yet another idiotic trade. ¬¬ Into bed I go.

That same person sent the trade back (Because I told them if they wanted a good pet, I need good pets in return) They offered 2 Rare Rats T.T I don't wanna lock the group because sometimes I get good trades that have pets that aren't on my Wishlist.

Ugh...Maybe they person thinks that it's,uh,funny to get trades?Boy was that a stupid thing for me to think.

I tend to be very nice to newbies my usual response is:

"I'm sorry you don't have any pets I'm looking for but thanks for sending an offer." (except I never have the time for such a long response)

Some of my recent cancel messages:
"already have those pets, thanks though."
"not looking for wajas."
"nvm all my love pears sold."


I think people when sitting behind a computer forget to be nice. Do I like to see the silly offers I get for a joker? Yeah, because I used to be one of those people, and now here I am, having earned one.

I would say that putting a pet in a trade group just to see what offers you get so you can have a good laugh....well there's nothing wrong with that...

Responding in a mean way? Yeah that would be wrong. Do I know I'm asking for it by putting a really wanted pet in an open group? Yup.

My latest cancel messages{Besides the evil bunny one}:

"Errr.... I never said I'd give you a free pet.

And I don't give by asking."

"Sorry, no."
"Sorry, no."
"Sorry, no."

Meh.I usually say something like,"Sorry,but they're not for trade."
I keep my groups open in case I get an AMAZING offer.

I don't have a trades group, and I don't have a favorites group, either.

All groups are open, and I usually just stick {NFT} by the pet's name so they know it's NFT.
I got a lot of people offering a bunch of uncommons on my lava lamp PPS since the Null PPS became rare. u.u
