I'm from Oct 08 too. xD I kick myself for being stingy about adopting back then. I only adopted like...one or two pets from that month, then disappeared until December.

In all serious, I think some people highly overestimate the value of the store dogs.

plus anyone who can get C$ can get them, so I hate seeing people offer them in auction or trades. >.< it's like they are basically buying the pet they want, so I only accept them for art, but they count as 1 rare all together for me

They're the ones that cost real-world money, aren't they? So they are valuable, even if someone personally doesn't care for them. And Malk's stuff is the best in my opinion, especially her cats. If I were a hoarder, I'd be hoarding Malks.

I adopt spiders and Nick pets even though I don't like them, cos I know other people do and are willing to trade for them.

I've only been on this site since December, and it's only just sinking in that most people pay more attention to rarity than I do. I trade to complete each month's sets. My wishlist has pets that I think are pretty and/or have an interesting theme, and I try to avoid the rares. I figure there's gotta be a few weeks of cold weather in Hell before I have any chance of snagging rares more than a couple of months old.

if they were smart they would just get a wajas and buy cwp more chance of getting a rare then buying 50 shop dogs that no one wants anymore because everyone and their mom has it

Seriously, for the $20 you spend on here for some dogs worth a few advents, you could get Augusts-Septembers for the same amount in CWP.

Huh! I haven't put the Eat Me and Drink Me dogs on my wishlist cos I figured anyone who paid cash money for a pet would want way more than I can afford to trade! Course, I don't have much real-life money, so that's probably why I overestimate their value.

80C$ cost $5 USD, the dog set costs 50C$, anyone with an extra 5 bucks can get them, so I (and most others) don't value them as highly as the system
