Trade Rant Thread [NEW]

Some was holding an auction I think.. forgot. o _ o
It was for the UR Butterdog from April Fools (obviously.. XD).

When a user from last year pointed out it wasn't an actually UR,
the auctioneer quoted The Rares List. o _ o

I don't know the intention though.
Was it to show it wasn't a UR, or trying to say it's the same UR on the Rares List, I don't know.

I just find it a bit misleading to newer users...
They could have just said it's a April Fools outcome based on the UR Butter-Wolf.. why didn't they?

I can see a lot of scams going for ALL the pets that came out that box. People will point them on the Rares List and go "Look, it's that but even better because it's coloured differently!"

Newbies will be scammed left, right and centre.

You forgot they'll be scammed up and down, too |D

Haven't seen the ones about the other outcomes yet,
but definitely saw the Butterdog one.

I commented and even showed pictures of the actual UR Butter-Wolf and the UR Butterbun that's based off it.

I got an overly-good trades for my PPS spares. It was only after I accepted I had to stop and question myself... There had been no message with that trade...

And those PPS are everywhere.

Why would they overpay that much? =/

it wasn't like, rares list overpay or anything. but it was still a lot of overpay.

I want to auction my shima to get some rareslist but she was a gift from a special person who dosent have any '08 rares or anything...
maybe i could share the winners bd with the person... v_v ....

I was trying to trade someone for the '12 Valentine's Day dog, the pink one with wings. I was already overpaying, but they kept sending it back editing in a couple of 2010 dogs.
They were new, so I explained to them about dates, and how even though I was willing overpay, I wouldn't overpay by quite that much. Then they kept telling me that they had so many other trades for that dog that were better, so they added in more dogs. I cancelled saying that they could accept another trade, then, because I wasn't going to overpay anymore.

Basically, my rant is when people try to get you to pay more by telling you they have better trades for it.
This is what an auction is; if I wanted to auction, I would go to the auction thread.

I've encountered and gotten this excuse so many times,
it's been frustrating and irritating to me; especially every cancelled trade for the UR Butterdog.

If I had a spare, I would give it to you but I dont... >:

I saw a user with a Butterdog - whom I need to complete my   collection along with the Greentag - in their signature. Under the pet, it clearly stated;

I'm Up for Trade!

So I get on to their profile, click 'Trade with me', and look for the Butterdog in their groups. It was in a group called "Trades {paperclip}" so I happily placed it on their side and added a early '10 dog - two years older - on my side. I also added a kind message. But no.
They cancel the trade, replying with;

I'm super attached to this dog. xp
sorry.

Or something along those lines. If you are, 1) Why is it in your 'Trades' group? 2) Why is it clearly stated it's up for trade in your signature? :l

I'm trying my best to be patient and wait for the rarity to appear before trading for some. ; 3 ;

No skin off my nose; I have a couple of those Valentine's dogs, I'm just trying to start another hoard.

I also feel kind of bad, because I'm probably contributing to the inflation of the UR butterdog, because I'm refusing to trade it.
But it's not because I think it's going to be incredibly rare or anything, I just love the design. I think it's pretty.
But it's probably not helping the CS economy. -.-

The EXACT same thing happened to me.
As usual,NO ONE overpays for my pets.I tend to have this problem EVERY MONTH with wanted outcomes,even though i have them.I have the bad luck to get ONLY underpay,while others get 2008 vrs?I don't expect THAT,but at least a wl would be nice ;;
