Trade Rant Thread [NEW RULE!]

I canceled a trade earlier involving some rare's list pets, since I didn't want the pets they offered, even though it was a fair-ish trade. I later get a pm demanding to know why the hell I canceled the trade, their words not mine. I told them my reasoning and they proceeded to call me stupid and threatened to report me. .-.

Oh. And people who see you ranting about them on here and then feel the need to pm you. /hr

This trade contains several things I find annoying.

First of all the message: They called me "hun". I know they probably didn't mean it in a bad way, but to me it sounds patronising, and it definitely didn't make me want to work out a trade with them.

Second: They asked what I wanted for my pets, yet sent a trade instead of a suggestion. I'm not going to accept by accident.

Third: I apparently need to rewrite my rules. They say not to use a hoard pet to get into my wishlist locked groups, and to PM me offers of non-wishlist pets. They also say that pets from my "sets" trade groups will either be traded as sets or individually for really good offers. I don't think of this as a really good offer

My rules also say that I only edit when I'm in a good mood, completely ignoring them does not put me in the right mood

I think this is fair

To start all this off, it really agitates me when someone tells me that. But her trade rules say she's not a native English speaker, so I decide to give her the benefit of the doubt on that. Nothing that they offered was on my wishlist at all, though I noticed that they'd at least put a little effort into it with the rare rat, so I decided to edit it.

How about this instead?

Not sure if it's quite as fair as it could be, but I at least tried to put some effort into it. Regardless, I don't think it deserved to be sent back with this message

At this point, I was frustrated, but I did want the pets I was offering on, so I sent it back calmly explaining why I felt it was fair and explaining that if they felt it was unfair that I had no problem editing, but would appreciate constructive advice on the matter.

NO !!!. AND YOU DON'T HAVE READ MY RULES SO YOU ARE FOED !!!

I'm sorry, what?! I did read those rules actually, just to make sure they were trading from all groups. I make a point not to post code words if the trade is sent to me, and my rules say as much, but regardless of that and regardless of everything, the level of rudeness completely grinds my gears.

Just, I mean wow. The butterfly wolves they offered weren't even on my wishlist. And why the heck would I want doubles?

They even said "edit if you want", yet still sent it as a trade.

So, I was just looking back at old trades, just randomly. I found a canceled trade with a * by it, so I clicked it. It was from before Halloween.
It was this trade. It was unfair, but it was when the candy was new and I figered that these were candies that I had missed when I got them free from the Totoro page, and since the Halloween event had just started, so it was an easy mistake to make. Eventually I figued it out, though, and I stopped offering like that, but still. I even included a polite message.

This seriously hurt my feelings. =c I wasn't trying to rip them off, and I didn't say they were stupid. Why did they think I was going to send it again? It was an easy mistake to make when the Halloween event had started earlier that day.

I just foed the player, which I rarely do. If I send them a trade it'll be probably be canceled rudely like that, and I guess I'm just warning myself not to try it. D=

Oh, same thing happened to me! I'd just like a nice explanation, or a cancel with no message if they can't hold their tognue.
