New Pound System?

I cannot stand it. >.<
When I saw it open, I sat there for like five minutes of the auto-refreshes tearing my hair out because every single page was exactly the same! I ended up setting for a newborn from this months because I didn't have the time or patience to sit there for a minute [at least, I could swear it was a minute when I was there, but I keep seeing "30 seconds"] to get a refresh of pets I don't want.

I wish we had a choice to refresh it ourselves. Sitting around watching a counter in hopes of getting a slightly decent pet makes me dislike the "Pets" part of CS even more.

I agree with what someone said before that we really don`t need 35 seconds to decide if we want a pet from that currenrly displayed group. I think 15 seconds is enough time to scan a page of pets. We all have these pets memorized and know exactly who we would jump on in a heart beat. thanks Nick good work, good idea.

It's okay. It give people with deathly slow internet connections a better shot at getting a decent pet. For everyone else, though, it definitely lowers their chances of getting a good pet. To me it's kind of a bittersweet situation. I did like, however, that while waiting for those 35 secs, I could quickly look up the rarity of a pet in the archives if I was uncertain about it. I think I could get used to this new system

I feel for the people with slow internet speeds, by the time the page does finally load for them all the good pets are taken if any were displayed on the page.

You know what would be a super idea, and I don`t know if its possible... but if Nick could manage it so that GOLD STAR showed next to the pets on our wish list. Like it shows up in a trade format. I would love to see that.

I like it. It's much fairer cause some people don't have such fast computers and never get the best pets.

I kinda like this--this may be just me, but...I have a nice internet connection. I can load everything really quickly.
But with the old system, by the time the page finally loaded (even though I entered in &pagestart=360 into the url or something, and never was on the first page!) the pet (or pets) I wanted were already taken. And it's almsot always by the same three-four people. o0 (not mentioning names XD especially since I've seen them on the forums and they're actually kinda nice...)

With this new system, people with slower connections have a better chance of getting a rare pet, and the people who always get the pet they want from the pound won't always get them any more ^^

Though I do agree that 15 seconds should be long enough...30 seconds is way too long! I scan over each pet 5 times before the 30 seconds are up o_O

I don't like it one bit. I'm sorry, but I like to look through the pound's pets and plan what page the pets I need are on. I don't have time to wait for them to appear. It ruined all of my chances of getting a good find. :/

As I'm sure many of us do ;D Besides, you could always look in the pound and see what's up for grabs anyway--that way you can know if there's a newborn you want, or maybe a common advent you missed, or if there's nothing in there that you actually want~

I like it also, my net pretty much sucks at the moment, before with the old system I'd try to go to the last page as the pound opened, & my browser would crap out & die from the lag x___x;

It seems more based on luck now, which I dont mind =P
