Oh, store dogs are so NOT equal to the value of an August dog as they are so very easy to trade for and not rare at all. Honestly, I think it is the Sunback that is the most common of the litter and the Non-Jewel is more rare so in my opinion the trade is unfair.

I got Augusts for all of my store dogs that I traded away, and I've seen plenty of others getting Julys and Augusts (I'm in a trade right now to get a galaxy for a cerberus). If they aren't rare, then why does the bunny say "very rare" and why do the others say "rare" (for a while the eat me and drink me said "very rare," too)?

As for the sundogs, in my experience, non-jewelrys are more common. On Dec. 18th, I adopted 14 sun pups. Four turned into sunbacks, and the other ten turned into floppy eared suns. Even if two turn into jewelry suns, that still means I'd have twice as many non-jewel suns as sunbacks. Also, whenever I look at older member accounts that still have all of their duplicates, they have more non-jewelrys than sunbacks.

That is just over-pricing the store pets I believe. But it is a matter of opinion really and if the majority of people believe that they are worth a July or August '08 pet than so be it. The most I paid for my store pets were '08 Octobers and Advent '08 pets(nothing VR).

Yeah, there is always fluctuation in what people consider the value of new, rare pets. Some people were able to get them for a fairly good price, like you, whereas I saw someone who was paid several July '08s for their store pets. I just try to post what the general trend tends to be. If someone asked me if a joker bunny for a joker was fair, I'd say the joker was worth more (which seems to be the general belief), even though the bunny is technically rarer because it is fewer in number.

I forgot to mention that all of those sundog newborns are ones I adopted outside of my account. ^^" (I'm definitely not that lucky x3) I'm going to go and do a bit more researching in terms of the sun dog rarities, since it seems like every day I see one person say the sunback is rarer and another say that the non-jewelry sun is.
