why was the date of december 18th chosen for all the early rare pets to be re-released? why not another day? does it mean something special to tess or what?

it was just a random date which we haven't changed since 2008 because it's become CS tradition

How did the tradition of December 18 begin? Did a player suggest it so others could have chances to get rare pets, or was it an accident, like a typo which ended up with everyone believing they could get rare early pets?

Nah, I'm pretty sure I'm one of the less noticed GHs anyway. Sometimes I'll get gifts and thanks yous, but honestly I just want to be able to help people out. I don't mind being a background person P:

Is it hard & tiring to work for chicken smoothie? Which are the hard things you find?

GHs don't have to do nearly as much as mods, but I still try to spend a few hours on CS helping take care of tickets. The 18th is especially busy. Spent 7 hours last night doing tickets after rollover c':

Yeah I would have liked to have joined earlier. I think I really would have enjoyed the early CS community. And all the 2008 pets would nice rip

There isn't much decision about anything other than providing feedback amongst ourselves and the head honchos approving them and setting up the adoptions. It's not as strict or regimented as you might think, but it is pleasing to see things as they are worked on.
