I padded in the cold night. I shivered, and I was thankful for the two pink socks my grandmother had knitted a long time ago when I was about two. I clamped onto my stuffed bunny, Adeline. I continued to shiver even more, the tempeture slowly dropping. My two snakes tried to wrap around me to keep myself warm, but it was no use. No matter what, I would continue to shiver in doubt and fear.

That was, until I saw a faint glowing light. I narrowed my eyes, thinking I was just seeing things. But, the same thing appeared right in front of my eyes! I was delighted! I began to follow the light, still alert, knowing that there were dangers out in the woods. I could soon make out a black figure, a wolf just like me. My aqua-blue fur shimmering under the moonlight. It seemed like the other wolf has seen me, because it made a shrill bark in a deep voice. It's a male, I thought. "Hello?" I asked with a small cough because of the cold. "Are you okay?" replied the male wolf as he padded out of the mists that had began to form. "Thank goodness, I thought I would be all alone," was my shaky voice.

Dance, little child, still trapped in your mind...

A scattering of applause echoed around the room as the second-to-last contestant in the talent regained their seat. Eyes wide and nervous, the boy, unlucky enough to have pulled last, stood up. With slow, evenly measured steps, he walked to the center of the stage. Somewhere in his mind, he could hear a beautiful sound, one that promised to carry him off his feet, if only he would let it.
He did the only thing he could-he opened his mouth.
And he sang.

Sing, little bird, sing out with your soul...

The crowd, for a moment, held their silence. Then with a building cheer, they stood, the echoes of their claps lasting for long into the night.
Outside the room, another boy stood, his own hands still, as the clapping raged inside. His eyes were smiling, though his face was not. A laugh, dieing quickly in the quiet hallway, slid from his tongue, coiling around him like a snake. His hands clenched, veins standing out against the taut skin as he relished the wondrous chance that had led him here.
Smug smile pulling at his lips, he ran his hands down rough wood door.
'I told you, Sylian; you're just one piece of the puzzle.'

Absolutely love this show~ I had this idea in my head for a while now, too, so...hopefully it's ok. .3. How long have I had it? Maybe since I first dreamed of getting these two pets~ They were my two favorite CS pets, and Rizzoli & Isles are my two favorite TV characters. So...I tried mixing the two. No one here will know what this TV show is...most likely...but props if you do~

I can't believe people liked my HawkxCarly pairing! I didn't think it was very good, but I'm glad to be proved wrong.^^ Well, here's another while I think of a scene for the other two...


Elizabeth(f) and Jakob(m)

What in the world is that boy wearing? The small blonde girl, her long hair brushing the bottom of her shoulderblades, tilted her head lightly, as if solving a difficult arithmatic problem. She had been on the way home when the policemen had kindly told her a detour. But now, Elizabeth thought she was lost. She had never seen these tall, chain link fences with weirdly dressed people on the other side.

Though there were many people milling around on the loose dirt, one in particular caught her eye. A small boy, sickly thin, she might add, with unhealthy gray in his hair. His too blue eyes, so dim, stared eerily at the fence. His pale finger gently ran over the individual rods, letting out a very faint ping. Why did he do this? Why did he not just go play with friends, or read a book? There was no way a fence could be very amusing. That's when a flash of yellow caught her eye, tied around the boy's upper arm. This caused Elizabeth to hesitate. She wasn't supposed to go around those people. Dirty, her mother had warned. But he seemed nice... And she still wanted to know why he was doing such a boring thing. Well, I'm going to find out.

Setting her school books on the pebbly road, (Definately lost. Father said all there was was sidewalk and road.) the girl skipped over to the wall, unknowing what it stood for. She stopped on a medium sized strip of grass, right in front of the strange boy. He looked up, his expression as if she were an alien. Elizabeth stomped her foot with a snort. "It's rude to stare, you know." She then promptly sat down, blue eye's attentive.

The boy blinked before swallowing hard. Like he'd swallowed a cotton ball. "Sorry." He said softly, voice hoarse. He didn't sound well... Maybe he needed a drink. She got back up and trotted back to her books and pulled her water bottle off the leather. It was still cold, she'd gotten it before leaving school, and went back to the boy. His light eye's widened again, a confused look on his face. She sat down, before looking unhappily at the small holes in the fence. "What is that?"

Elizabeth giggled, her young voice making it high pitched. "Water." She lifted the bottom of the fence, and could only barely slide the container under. He eagerly took it, and opened it. He then started drinking eagerly, which made the young girl realize how dirty he was. The water droplets turned his what she thought was tanned skin to smoky gray. What does he have?

After a few moments, the boy put the water back down to his knee. As he spoke, his voice sounded alot clearer. "So what's a pretty girl like you doing on the wrong side of the road?" Elizabeth knew she was blushing. She looked down at her shoes, though it didn't help, since they were across from each other. "Lost?" She nodded. Looking back up, she remembered why'd she'd come over here.

"Why?" The boy tilted his head. No clue. "Why are you..?"

"Oh." He chuckled, head tilting back slightly towards the sun. Elizabeth swallowed deeply, not uncomfortably, but just.. nervous. Father would be upset she'd be late. "Have you been living in a barn?"

The girl's mouth opened slightly in shock. "Why I... What are you wearing? Sheets?"

The boy laughed again. "Can you have a conversation without insults? I meant about Adolf Hitler." His light eye's then seemed to be pleading for something. But... What?

Elizabeth, at least, knew who this was. "Heil Hitler! He brings prosterity to our great country, Germany!" That's when the boy's eyes went out, like a wet match. What had she done wrong? Everbody lover their Fuher! He was a good man, and promised for peace. And it was morally wrong to dislike him. "Now what did I do?"

The boy looked down, fingers tackling each other like puppies. Sick, gray puppies who needed a cleaning... "You're one of them. Then you should go."

"One of what?"

"Forget it. Forget this ever happened."

Now she was frustrated. If she could, she'd grab this boy's collar. But, she held her anger together. "No, tell me. I... I command you!"

The boy then laughed again, but this time, humor sprinkled it like cake. The girl shook her head. She wasn't supposed to talk to his kind. He looked back at her, smiling brightly. But then it was melted by the confusion on her face, replaced instead by pity. "You really don't know, do you?" Elizabeth shook her head.

"Look, everything on the radios are lies." He was whispering again, but this time it was his choice. Like a secret between two friends. Not friends, just a person. Mother would be disappointed in my choice of partners... "Us Jews are just like everybody else. Yes, we believe in a different religion, but that is everything that seperates you and me." He thought for a moment before sticking his finger through one of the links. "Well, then there's this fence."

"Anyways, they probably don't tell you about these camps that gather us like cattle. They keep us around, personal toys of torture. I've seen dogs released on people, just to see them run." Elizabeth had her face close to the fence now, elbows on her thighs. "They feed and water us whenever they feel it's necessary. We are treated worse then dirt. We are killed by gas, dogs, maiming, sta-"

"Stop!" The boy flinched in suprised. She'd yelled at him! She sighed, head shaking. Tears formed in her eyes. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have shouted. I-.... I didn't know."

The boy smiled again, blinking lightly. "How could you? I shouldn't have scared you." He lifted his had, palm flat, and laid it against the fence. An apology. "Friends?"

The small girl grinned, knowing she was breaking the rules. But, no matter. She did the same, but on the opposite side. "Friends." She looked up, seeing the sun was close to setting. A time had passed. "Oh! I must go."

He smiled, removing his hand. "Go on. They'll worry." He stood up, wiping at his clothes for dirt. Elizabeth copied him before taking a step back. "Hey, girl. What's your name?"

She smiled, a light color to her cheeks. "Elizabeth."

"Jakob. Hope to see you on the other side."

She nodded. "Me too." They stood there for another few moments, staring. Then she scurried off, grabbing her book carrier and tracing her steps back to town. But, even being just a child, she'd never forget that day. Or that talk that she spread around school, the truth. And she'd never, ever forget those crystal eyes.

The one's she recognized when the war was over.

She escaped in the winter, on one of those cold days where time seems to stand still.
She ran faster then she ever had before, afraid of what would happen if she was caught.
There was a castle, abandoned ever since the day that the king lost power over his own kingdom,
it didn't make much sense on why they didn't use it or tear it down for materials but to the monster it was good luck.

She hid in the castle for years, her only friends being the butterflys in the garden and the statues.
One day though, she was desprate for someone, anyone really, to talk to.
She went into the library and pulled out a dusty book of spells,
that's where this story begins.
